Well after 150 days I can say i still feel pretty bad.But ofcourse there are some improvements.Improvements i noticed are more women look at me,more confidence, more motivation, sometimes i require less sleep, and being much more attractive,,my willpower is made of steel, and i dont feel single urge to watch porn.

Now for the negatives I am anxious, little bit depressed,no enjoyement from fun activites, less patience, more emotional vulnerability, dead penis unless Iam with a girl and we are touching each other, hopelessness, being very tired.

I believe this process will take long time like maybe 2 or 3 months before my dopamine levels and enjoyment of fun activities returns to normal.90 days is simply not enough for me to feel like on top of world.Biggest problem I have with these withdrawals are the lack of enjoyement and that anxiety, and emotional vulnerability.Everything feels so boring. And its hard because when you loose enjoyment from everyday activities then you want to relapse but not because of urges but because of that emotional void.Getting to this point when everything is boring for you requires will of steel.Anyone going through same things after long time like me or am I alone ?

I am on day 105 (ish) and I feel the same way as you. I have flatlined pretty much the whole way. Some improvements in self confidence, less anxiety, and healthier looking genitals as well as signs of morning wood etc. But I also feel a lack of interest, 'drive', whatever you want to call it, I'm trying to dopamine detox as well, I spend so much time on YouTube watching junk. I find that harder than giving up pmo at the moment.

Don't give up hope, i guess some people need medium to long term recovery rather than just 90 days.

I heard the longer you were addicted, the longer it will take to recover. Make sense to me.

Glad to hear Iam not alone. We will make it bro!

  5. Don't worry, I'm quite advanced in my number of days and I still feel urges from time to time, although very rarely. It's something we have to deal with our entire life, but it's getting easier and easier to the point where it's only a little nuisance that you can laugh about. Stay strong, brother!

Day 115 NOPMO, I still have dreams abouth P and can barely sleep. I was felling better and now I start playing some video games and my mood drop down lately.

If you was Hardcore addicct like my then you need much longer time like 9 months to year. Its long time but don't go back

I had similar experience. On my way to 180 days, but I am going through ups and downs. However, I can feel my body is healing. One of the signs is that past negativity surface up, it could be overwhelming, especially during a global pandemic and there are more challenges than normal times. However, I’d like to keep on this journey. I just tell myself keep the faith, I am getting there, just need a bit more patience.

I feel you need to find new things to do like try new things out, new hobbies, new goals, that should lift your mood and make the whole process more enjoyable, I usually feel like that too during long streaks, good luck man

I agree! I feel like after certain days without PMO, there need to be something to channel the extra energy. I meditate. My job is demanding and it costs me a lot energy too… but sometimes my urge is strong if I overwork that day… not sure why but I guess nothing excess should be one principal to stick with.

Few things to keep in mind. Addictions like PMO really wreck the reward circuitry of the brain. Normal life will seem boring as fuck until the brain balances itself out again. Just try to focus on what is in front of you and do it with humility. From taking out the trash, to exercise, to the smallest thing you could do. And if there is absolutely nothing to do, pick up a hobby like some have recommended.

Being addicted once means you are vulnerable to other addictions. Make sure you don't replace PMO with something like mindless scrolling and YouTube. Some say this is preferable but I don't think so. Everything in moderation.

Adaptive ways to get dopamine:* generally described as not too potent, not tipping the balance too much or too quickly into pleasure. Don’t allow yourself to stay in blissful states too long. We want flexibility in that balance and to easily reassert homeostasis. People in addiction tend to talk about learning to live with things being boring or stressful.
    • Boredom is actually an important and necessary experience, particularly to cultivate creativity. Also provides time to explore what you really want to do with your life.

I know you don't like the emotional vulnerability, but consider this: Telling the truth, even about the smallest details of your life, are core to recovery. This refers to everything. Not just lying about using. Break the lying habit, even about random stuff. “Recovery is about telling the truth in all ways.” What does the neuroscience say about this? When we tell the truth, we strengthen the prefrontal cortex circuits and their connections to our limbic brain and our reward brain —these are the circuits that get disconnected when we are in our addiction. It’s important to experience an appropriate amount (not self-flagellation) of shame for things we have done and the pain that comes with shame.

    Good luck to you.

Do you or did you exercise? Do you or did you spend a lot of time indoors?

I read that doing exercise builds up new dopamine receptors which often lack in a porn addict's brain. Maybe exercise could help you
