If so, why is this? Why do they go hand in hand? Is there a reason?

I tend to think so. I have major brain fog due for a multitude of reasons. First, we need to clarify what brain fog is, how it is caused, and the effects of it. Brain fog indicates a neurological imbalance that can, naturally, form intense anxiety in a social environment.

Something with dopamine, I'm guessing. I just don't understand how dopamine highs and anxiety are correlated to bring on brain fog with anxiety attached to it.

It actually makes perfect sense. Especially when you word it in that particular fashion. Addicts are constantly looking for that dopamine high, right? When your body lacks that mental state, the onset of anxiety begins. Anxiety then begins to affect many other aspects of your daily routine which in turn make the addiction worse. Just my thoughts on it.
