I'm about the ugliest person to ever step foot on God's green Earth, I am short and have a rather feminine face. I could work with this because of my hair, which is the best part about myself. Now, because whatever fate exists hates my fucking guts, I'm losing it. I'll never accomplish my dreams, I'll have to conform to some shitty macho man stereotype that I fucking hate, and I'll never have a girlfriend as long as I fucking live, what is the fucking point now

    Shave. Dat. Head

    And start lifting.

Look like a Viking in no time.

  3. Grow a skullet. It's about as metal of a hair cut as you can get. Best of both worlds, long hair and bald

Again, I don't want to be a "macho man", no offense, but I'm not interested in that

First of all @ThatRandomGuy, this is a good point - if you're genuinely 71, then losing your hair will without a doubt be a sign of old age and there will be nothing you can do about it other than getting a wig or a hair transplant, which personally I would view as being on the side of vanity.

If you're much younger than 71 and messed up the age on your profile, the obvious advice is to banish porn and masturbation. From what I've researched ejaculation deprives your body of zinc, which is used to produce the keratin in your hair and fingernails, which is probably what's causing your hair to fall out. Minimise PMO and eat some zinc-filled foods like eggs.

And definitely do not sacrifice the real you to be a 'macho man' douchebag. For one, it'll make your confidence issues all the worse and girls will be able to detect it in a heartbeat, because fake men are the least attractive individuals to genuine women.

Also it would involve the tragic act of sacrificing your moral high ground - so-called 'macho' men think they're the dog's bollocks but they're nothing more than bullies and thugs, an embarrassment to real, positive masculinity. Don't let your appearance worry you and don't let anyone else get you down about it - if you do lose your hair even after minimising PMO, it's just one of those things that can't be changed, and if people don't respect you just because of that, they're not worth your respect in the first place. Fortunately girls aren't as motivated by appearance as guys are (at least not respectable and emotionally mature girls), and so long as you make the effort to get to know women and build rapport, then you'll be able to show the real you, the best you, to everyone you encounter. So long as do this and you show assertiveness (a balance between being able to stand up for your desires and beliefs, and allowing others to do the same), you should be able to meet girls who just happen to naturally get on well with you and show interest in who you are - it's these women you should consider partner material.

I think in general you just need to give yourself a break and respect yourself more for who you are as a person, as well as respecting others. By all means better those physical and personal parts of you you find lacking - if you really think you'd look better with hair, try a toupé or a hair transplant, but don't do it just to look more attractive to girls or to be part of the 'cool cats' gang, do it for yourself if you genuinely feel you'd be better off with a barnet than without.

Hey man, I know it seems rough rn, but you can't be so fatalistic. Girls aren't as shallow as guys, they'll be with someone who isn't conventionally attractive if they are kind and interesting. One thing to keep in mind is the majority of attractiveness does not have to do with the face. Wear well-fitted clothes, maintain strict hygiene (IDC about body hair, I think that is a personal choice that should be respected, but keep clean and smell good), exercise (not necessarily to be a Viking but enough to be healthy), and develop some confidence. Whenever I look in the mirror, I notice I look way better when I have my chin up than down. If you have facial hair keep it well-maintained, though if you are growing a beard you will have to bite the scraggly bullet for a few months. For your head hair, you can shave it or keep it, but make sure you're maximizing its potential. Not every bald person is a macho guy, so you don't have to worry about that. Here are some comparisons. [IMG][IMG]
Obviously, you don't need to wear a suit, but the difference is night and day. I don't know what physical condition you are in, but well-fitted clothes will help regardless. Since you're on Nofap I will assume you are at least gamer adjacent, so my main advice is to min-max. Hair going away? Make your head look good. Face not so handsome? Make sure the rest of you looks good. Short? Stand tall. Firstly, if girls won't talk to you because of your height they can fuck off. That is not any different than a man not talking to a woman because of her breast or butt size. It is not something that can be controlled. However, I have friends who are short, one who is probably 5'2" or 5'3". He still gets girls, many that are taller than him, by dressing nice, being fit, and having confidence. Life's too short to worry about the things you can't fix. Work on the things you can and kick ass at it. I believe in you bro. I have my own shit going on so I am gonna be on here daily if there's shit you need to talk about. You don't know me. If you need to vent, go for it. As for the guy talking about aging, you can't stop Father Time. You can slow it down, but it happens eventually. Do what you can, with what you have, where (and when) you are. Anybody else who comes to this thread should take that advice too. All of you can make it.

Yeah sorry bro, but the moment I read "The cold hard reality all women face is that, in the sexual market place, they are always a depriciating asset.", I stopped reading. Men are shallow because they are raised that way. Women are more conscious of it because they know how it feels to be objectified, therefore they are less likely to act in that way. And that sentence not only objectifies but commodified women in a very gross way.

I mean he probably could fix his own issues, but its more cathartic to whine and moan about it. Instead of figuring out a way to climb put of that hole

Also lol @ the guy dropping “patriarch” … doesnt exist

Sorry if you're referring to me I said patriarchal, as in led by a man. Which is how most societies have been run. I was not referring to the more abstract "patriarchy" which also exists.

I vote for the guy on the right!
That style could solve some of op's problems: A cool bandana to distract from the hairloss and a shotgun in case people are still want to make fun of you :emoji_sunglasses:

so you changed opinion about all women gossiping about their partners intimate details with their friends on account of the few you interacted with?

  18. Maybe it's a minor point, but you might want to make your age accurate and not say you're 71 when you're in fact 20 lol....seems like a strange random thing to do.

  19. "skullet??" lmfao....that's brilliant.

This thread is imploding but anyways, I think you'll be alright either way coming from someone around your age also dealing with this issue. Mine mostly started at the corners of the hairline, like the widows peak but I stopped it before it became a peak of course. Speak to a dermatologist about it, if you speak to your primary doctor they'll usually just recommend the dermatologist anyways. You can take propecia to halt the hair loss where its at, but only if the issue actually is androgenic alopecia aka male pattern baldness. If it's stress or not washing hair enough and creating scalp irritation(dermatologist pointed out to me this is a possibility) fin may not necessarily help as it only helps if the issue is dihydrotestosterone. Rogaine can help too but you have to keep applying it to maintain the gains and for some men that long term time/money investment is not worth it or something they're willing to do. I don't know where you're balding and that makes a big difference in terms of what haircut to get. If its the hairline corners like me, shaving off the sides and just keeping hair on the top works well and looks good. If its the crown(the usual back of the head spot basically) a buzz cut or crew cut allows you to still have hair without the spot being too noticeable. And all jokes aside that picture of the fat guy in the bandana works haha. Hats, or bandanas across the hairline can look good and hide the hair loss. This ultimately just comes down to accepting what you can and can't control, and just working with what you got. Imo bald is better than balding even for guys who look a bit odd bald, a buzz cut can give you an idea of how you'd look bald without going in all the way.
