That is a question for your doctor, not for us.

The problem with all the medications is that they only treat symptoms. I started with CBD hempflower and it worked well but eventually stopped working because I still never addressed the root causes of my anxiety and depression. Get a book on Cognitive Behavior Therapy and ACT therapy or better yet sign up to see a psychologist. Its better to see a psychologist FIRST before you see a psychiatrist (that gives out prescription medication). Many people dont even need medication they need talk-therapy.

In the meantime these supplements may help you: Ashwagandha, L-Theanine, St Johns Wort, 5-HTP

Update: I became addicted to the CBD Hempflower and have abstained from it starting today. And I recommend you avoid prescription benzos altogether like Xanax and Klonopin. They are highly addictive

Assuming the anxiety is not caused by a physical disorder, then the best way to overcome anxiety and panic is to address what is making you anxious to start with. What are you worried about that is making you like this? If you dont mind me asking?

Well in which case my suggestions are obvious. Remove/cut down PMO from your life and consult a specialist. I've been seeing a psychologist and it has helped.

I'd recommend cognitive behavioural therapy for managing anxiety, if you want non - drug based options.
First line drug treatment for anxiety is antidepresants, benzodiazepines are only a temporary fix, which is dangerous because it is addictive.

Do not take benzodiazepines, these will only work in sedating you temporarily and when you stop using them you will end up having more anxiety and go through a withdrawal period. Follow what others have mentioned with regards to cognitive behavioural therapy and figuring out what causes your anxiety. A good start is quitting PMO, as that is something that does severe damage to your dopamine receptors and triggers anxiety and depressio, also it wacks out your hormonal levels.

    Take up daily meditation practice.
    Exercise
    Manage a regular sleep routine.
Schedule time off of all screens, give your brain a break.

These changes take time, anxiety and panic attacks are your body telling you that there are many things you are running from and it cannot cope with the crutches you have been using to cope. Many of those crutches(I.e PMO) are a double edge sword.

The amount of arrogant doctors that prescribe these drugs, without consideration of the harms, is really shameful. Many do not even advocate for therapy .Taking anxiety meds without going in therapy will only make you become dependant on a drug that is slowly damaging your body. Like @lamstronger said, if you go the medication route perhaps starting with an antidepressant. Even at that, I'd suggest starting with therapy and meditation first.

It takes work, delve into your inner-self and figure out what is setting you off. Do not expect overnight changes, but changes will occur with work.

    Good luck

Redemption makes a really good point. PMO can cause imbalances in your body (not enough of an expert to explain what they are, but hormonal and stuff I assume lol!) that can trigger "false" anxiety. What this means is that your body goes into fight or flight mode when nothing is actually happening. This happens to me sometimes, when mentally I am as calm as calm can be, but my body is tense and eager to get going as though I'm being chased by an axe killer or something! Really crazy, but it can happen. Even as someone who doesn't PMO as often as some on here, I definitely find that it can cause me to feel anxious and stressed and worried. Best to at least try and reduce your consumption of it.
