hello, i am currently writing my past authoring program, i find it very hard and time consuming... i will continue.
to motivate myself, what are your returns on the self authoring suite ? i am wondering !

this is the website for those wondering what the hell i am talking about, seems to have good scientific results.

I started months ago and am about 1/4 finished. I need to set aside the time to really complete it, but I write and write and write. I probably have way too many pages in past authoring but it’s so hard for me to leave anything out.

I wonder if the returns will be noticable... I feel like this kind of introspective endeavor usually opens doors and plants profitable seeds in your future, but is hard to kind of notice and measure the benefits in the short-term. I'd say that if whoever or whatever inspired you to take on this challenge, make sure you really believe them, and if you do then take a leap of faith and follow through with it even if it seems to cause more difficulty in the immediate... And then see what happens! Good luck

I started this a while ago and never got back to it. I finished the past authoring section which was the hardest but most important part to me, and started on present authoring virtues but never got back around to it. The past authoring helped me sort out my feelings about my past trauma a lot. It didn't necessarily make it easier to actually deal with those problems, but it clarified what are the feelings so that I can work through that with a professional.

just finished writing my virtues, i completed most of the "past authoring", but i leave it on the shelf as i have wasted to much time (compared to my priorities, that is), i need to consider my faults and my future now.

just finished writing part 1 of the future authoring program... some things i knew already about myself already. some i would not have written outside of this state of automatic writing, interesting, i'll see what's next in the next days.

Good to see you stuck with it. I still haven't really set aside time to get back to it, with daily journaling and posting my daily tasks on discord I feel like I already journal a lot, but not necessarily deeply. But I guess I have writing fatigue.

writing is thinking, and thinking is exhausting. i guess that's part of the process !

i just finished writing my future on https://www.selfauthoring.com now i have a plan for my future, i better stick to it... i am grateful for the last words :

    have a nice day.

i might be wrong, but apparently it's better to have a not so bad a plan for goals than no plan and no goals at all... so let's do it !

i must conclude my past authoring as well someday. today was a good day to finish this !

i'll write about my goals here: what i want, or what i aim is the following 7 goals:
    1. i want to leave a legacy of good music that connects with people
    2. i want to be reliable, by doing what i say i'll do
    3. i want the relationships i have with my family and close friends to be alive
    4. i want a stable and loving relationship with a girl
    5. i want to stay in shape, to be able to lift (physically that is) people if needed, take care of the human body God gave me.
    6. i want to be able to create useful things, electronic devices that i create, or computer programs.
    7. i want to be able to eat food that i have worked for it to grow.

it's been more than a year and a half. i have adjusted my goals to be closer to what i can do in the near future. it still seems too ambitious. it's funny i did this list in my journal BEFORE coming back to this thread and i see that i write more or less the same way haha.

i have thought about my goals in life. 7 dimensions i need to have sorted through:
    1. music: practicing an instrument and taking care of songs that need to be done.
    2. work: being able to do something and get paid for it and provide for my close ones and live with enough freedom.
    3. my body: being in shape and able to move and lift things, and be able to survive if i have to react quickly. eating ok and if i can: to keep my hair.
    4. intimacy: this is where my addictions fits and living with someone intimate would be. being an honest individual that can be trusted.
    5. social: going out and cut loose be able to have fun with friends.
    6. my house: making sure my environment is hospitable and i can invite people whenever i say so.
    7. growth: keeping on learning new thing. right now: driving.
i have rearranged some points. 6 and 7 from the previous list where removed because they are too adjacent to my life or absorbed into other dimensions. instead i added 6 because that wasn't in the plan but somehow my house is always a mess and I KNOW i can take care of it. and i added 7 because there's always something that needs to be learned so i might as well put it in the list.

even now that is a lot of things. but some things like point 6, 3 or 2 should be part of my routine which gives me more mental budget for the other things. after a year what i realise is that time goes by fast. it's more about NOT doing useless things, emptying your life in a way. that is scary. but it is the same as not spending money for inefficient food or stuff that you don't need. i hope that small change in perspective will make thing better but i will need to better think that through for sure. just not now because the day is almost over.

    thank you.

just something from my recovery journal: on how i'm viewing my goals today. last time was 1 1/2 months ago but it came naturally so i thought i put it here and compare how stable are my goals. just a simple assessment.

things that keep my life "balanced":
    1. my workout routine.
    2. sleeping well at least 5 times a week.
    3. cooking/eating well.
    4. showing up to work on time.
    5. (A) making music and (B) taking steps forward in my musical projects (A+B) everyday.
    6. telling the truth more and more each day, being honest about what i do. that's why i don't want to masturbate or watch porn. that's part of being a better person at an intimate level.
    7. build/create something with my engineering skills.
    8. take care of the house.
