Yes my friend but you are missing the point . This is not a how to please your women column . Its primary focus is compulsive addiction to pornography . And the problem in your brain is overstimulation . And we're back again ... Because of constantly watching porn

Man I don't know but l people know there own body and minds and they know watching porn too much is bad for them . .. but hey do what ever you want . If I was thinking n a relationship I know for damn sure porn could go fuck itself and I wouldn't watch it because porn does effect sexual performance . Don't even say it doesn't

I have ADHD which means I am prone to addiction. I naturally have less gray matter which means I crave alot more stimulation in alot of things in life and porn is a problem

According to what I have read on the topic so far, it's true that there is little to no conclusive scientific evidence, at this point, that porn directly causes ED.

However, the evidence is mounting on that front. In particular, there is a significant increase in ED in younger men that correlates with the ease of access to pornography, and many sexologists and urologists who claim they have observed a shift in the demography of their patients, and who believe that pornography is a major contributor.

If I look at my own experience, yes, it is true that I have always had performance anxiety the first time I would have sex with a new woman, which has effectively put ONS off limits for me most of the time (well, it made me not pursue them, but the ones I've had were "successful", insofar as getting an erection and finishing).

However, recently, I've had to contend with failed erections, repeatedly, in a non ONS context. I've had significant loss of sensitivity to my dick for about a decade while being in perfectly good health and fit, and having suffered no trauma. It just happened, one day. And recently, also, upon examining how I was able to deliver whatever performance I was able to deliver, either while having sex with a partner, or just while masturbating, I realized that having and maintaining an erection and then reaching ejaculation relied heavily on my ability to channel thoughts and images that I had derived solely from porn.

What used to turn me on, the type of interaction with the woman, the type of act, how it was received by the woman, everything has changed, and everything that now excites me (and without which I can't even maintain an erection, even with a woman I find insanely attractive) are things that I have received from porns, much of which is so hardcore and degrading that I wouldn't even have been able to imagine it on my own.

Literally, when I try to jerk off, if I try to focus on normal, vanilla intercourses, I can barely even keep it up. I'll end up feeling sleepy, or lose focus, and by the time I regain it my dick is all limp. However, if I channel these thoughts of hardcore porn, I get hard and get close to cumming in very little time. I find it very hard in my own experience to deny that porn use had has a deep effect on what I perceive as arousing.

As a caveat, I,d say I don't necessarily think it's porn itself. According to my own account, if the only porn I had used all this time were soft porn, depicting normal, day-to-day sex scenes, would I be having the same problem? Presumably not. Maybe the problem isn't so much porn itself as it is a certain type of porn. But it's not like I deliberately chose to get into sicker and sicker porn. I think we all know how that happens. You just happen to stumble on it, and one thing after another, somehow you find yourself incredibly aroused by this new stuff, and delve deeper into it, until it becomes goto, or routine. For most of my life, it didn't seem to have an impact. But in time, it does seem like there's been a rewiring caused by porn use.

And what causes the need to "overstimulate"? oh right, watching P.
It's like saying "lung cancer is the problem, not smoking cigarettes"

What you see in porn isn't necessarily the problem although there is some funky stuff on there . Humans are all perverts . thats just how we are. we have things that excite us sometimes the nastier the better. But that is an intimate moment you share with someone else . Porn is like injecting deep into your brain and flipping every switch and doing that every day . And expecting things to always be the same as the first time . It's called the chaser effect . People keep chasing the more they chase the more desensitized . It's really simple people need to either take breaks or stop porn entirely . People have channeled there thoughts all around porn

It's the same as pot or alcohol all's fun and games for a while until it starts taking alot more to have an effect and then the side effects kick in

This is quite comical . With this kind of reasoning we'd never get anywhere . .
I don't know I get the vibe they don't have anywhere near the severity of addiction that some on this forum have .

It's the constant sexual novelty that is the problem. The constant searching more and more, while jacking off, edging, binging.

What caused the overstimulation in the first place?

This is like saying food doesn't cause obesity. Technically that's true as food by itself can't do anything but if people overindulge then they will continue to want more and more and eventually that will lead to them becoming obese.

This is what happened to me as well and for a while I've been deliberating the "science" behind it.

For a bit of background I was always sexually very sensitive both physically and mentally, unlike most here I never really "advanced" into harder forms of porn(though I probably did watch a bit here and there) as all it ever took for me to become all horned up was a picture of an attractive woman, my bar for arousal was very low. For years I would maintain an erection for hours at a time, it's pretty incredible that I made it as far as I did without suffering the consequences(penis related ones anyway). Whenever I saw ED ads I always thought well I might have 99 problems but at least that will never be one of them. Then one day, after a period of feeling even more hypersexual than usual it all just vanished, like a switch had been flicked. I went from 100 to 0, most seem to make their way there gradually but in my case it happened overnight. My dick was totally numb and I had no interest in women or porn, I became asexual. Strangely my dick did actually still get up but I couldn't feel a thing, nor was I the least bit interested in what I was looking at.

Anyway that's been my life now for the past three years almost and the only time it resolved itself was after two months of nofap. I will tell you something interesting though as it relates to the idea that just porn by itself can't do any harm. Well when my libido did come back I felt like I was going through a 2nd puberty, I was horny beyond belief, I fought it every day until one day it became too much. I tried everything - working out, went for a run, took a cold shower etc, none of which really worked, the working out just made it worse actually. So there I was, I found myself staring at the wall, rock hard, too horny to think about anything else and I caved. Went to a cam site, saw that one of my favourite models was online and relapsed. Where it gets interesting for me though was that within a few minutes of watching a crazy hot semi-naked woman I now felt less horny than I did beforehand when I was staring at the wall. It's hard to explain but I could feel the libido leaving my body ... but I still went through with it and then binged the following day. Of course my libido was dead in the water afterwards and my dick totally numb again.

I spent a lot of time theorising what exactly is happening to cause this. I saw a couple of threads with guys saying they started taking anti-depressants and within a few days their sexual desire was gone(or greatly diminished) and that their dick was numb. This just confirms to me that it's is all down to brain chemistry and whatever group of neuro transmitters that are responsible for libido and sexual arousal not functioning properly. All these guys convincing themselves that it must be low testosterone, venous leak or whatever are driving themselves crazy when the actual issue is in their brain, not their pants.

As someone who 99% of the time only watched very "soft" stuff I don't think that's true, it's the sheer volume and longevity of use that does it rather than the actual content. I saw an "expert" saying that as long as you're not doing it a crazy amount like multiple times per week then there shouldn't be a problem ... multiple times per week lol .. try multiple times per day for hours on end as that's a more accurate amount for many here.

my problem is a bit different. I don't really get erect to porn much, sometimes I don't even, but I do get erection being next to my woman, and sometimes just talking to her or watching her makes me juice pre-cum, the problem is that in porn I am excited masturbating while I get no erection but I am mentally stimulated to do it, but while with my partner that excitement is not as strong if even there even if i go get auto erect the mental arousal is not present which is weird since I do precum without even needing to touch her, so its like a mental block, probably anxiety related

So while I can get auto erection to my girl the desire to orgasm is a different story because I'm so used to the screen watch and masturbation

I guess in my case I'm not much of a porn addict as much as suffering from basic performance anxiety.

Frequent use of porn changes your sexual appetite. At some point you are no longer aroused by real life sex. Picture this: suddenly you are confronted by a real person, with real emotions/desires, but something is amiss, why aren't they responding to your pixel driven commands/ motions. Panic sets in and bam! it becomes a moot point, as you're no longer " hard ". In next couple of days, you go back to the screen again, this time success, albeit via pmo. Feeling confident you try it in a real world setting and bam!, the session ends with a wimper. However we split hairs- pmo, is a major contributor to this dilemma.... I guess we'll agree to disagree...

at age 40 and up some erection problems are expected also, and this is without porn involment, so people shouldn't be too hard on themselves

With mainstream porn getting involved the age of erection problem fall from 50-40 to 30-20 and somehow no doctors wanna talk about it. Its either this or this world is depressed as hell and nobody can fuck because they are putting something in our food or something. I mean Blue pills have to sell, what else would explain the age of erection problem changing to drastically in the last 20 years

Which is why at 45 we thought it was his age or because he took up road biking. He had pied from 45-50. Within 4 months of quitting pmo he was rock hard in bed. I mean, I don’t have to do anything and he is harder than when we first married! He’s been in recovery 3 years. No problems in the bedroom now. Only if he relapses and then he has problems. He’s 53. In general we have sex 2-4 times a week. This opposed to when we first married and I was “lucky” to get it once or twice a month.

Yes, because one gets more excited by the new and novelty of P than the same 'ole partner, who can't compare with models. Hence, P can be one very direct cause of PIED during partnered sex. MO is another direct cause, since one can get more used to the hand-grip stimulation of M than of regular sex. Hence, these can be a double whammy, which is how many guys in their teens and 20s are even getting ED now.

This exactly. Guys who literally can’t get it up with a brand new partner? They have fried their dopamine receptors so much that a normal woman, even one they are very attracted to, does nothing for them. I just can’t believe how many people refuse to admit porn can cause Ed and a lot of other issues.
