Are you saying in your country there's no pregnancies out of wedlock? Like everyone is completely chaste and waiting for marriage?

Not American so can't say but some of my family and friends live there. One of the major complaints i've heard about women there was that certain girls there are materialistic and vain. Unless you're a certain height, weight and earning a certain amount of money then they won't even consider you.

Also, problems are same everywhere. No matter the country some people have trouble getting and keeping a relationship. Even my country is probably in-between yours and the USA in terms of strictness but there's girls who are pretty materialistic and more down to earth. Same with guys who sleep with 10 girls a week and some who can't even find a girlfriend.

Or actually let's talk about my pet peeve. Someone seeing those "starving African kids" adverts and thinking that all of Africa (like Africa is just a single country instead of 54 different ones) is full of either dust and naked malnourished people or lions and zebras exclusively.

Not all single guys can get sex from any girl they want. One can't exactly force a girl against her will. Also, there are single guys that do have religious morals, too. Even guys in relationships who put too much emphasis on sex, and not investing any real love in a relationship, will find that sex with one's partner gets boring (or not enough on demand) and will dabble into porn still, causing a whole other set of sexual problems still.

 

Movies are fiction and are for entertainment purposes; they are not meant to be documentaries.

 

The film "American Pie" is a fantasy written by men, for men. Alyson Hannigan participated because she got paid. Jennifer Coolidge was there because she got paid. These writers, they live in Hollywood and Hollywood isn't real. Or at least, it's not anything like the rest of the US. It's this strange place where most of the people are wealthy, materialistic, narcissistic, hyper-competitive sociopaths. They are obsessed with money and plastic surgery, and live on diet shakes, cigarettes, and cocaine. And yet, to fund their unsustainable flashy lifestyles, they have to put out movies us normal people in flyover country will watch. But they're not very good at it, so they put out films they only think normal people will identify with, and us normal people, well, there's nothing else so we watch that bullshit. One would think, well, why doesn't a normal person go to Hollywood, where they can make a film normal people actually identify with, and it's because no sane person would go to Hollywood. This is for two reasons. One, the people in Hollywood think they know real people, so if you actually talk sanity to them, they think you are insane. And two, insanity is infectious. No amount of money is worth it. Do not assume you know anything about the United States based on what you see in the films we produce. Definitely don't assume you know anything from a film released in 1999, but in general. Just don't.

Because we can't get any girl we want in real life. You're acting like the world is just full of thirsty IG models throwing themselves at us, all we have to do is smile back and they'll fall in our beds. In reality, most guys find themselves lucky to have an average girlfriend at any given time. Ethics in dating are actually pretty complicated, and the vast majority of men, young men at least, find their libidos outstripping their real world success with women roughly seven times over. Real world dating means loads of rejection, lots of money spent, uncertainty, etc. As a married guy, I find I prefer P because there's no anxiety, no pressure, and significantly less disappointment.

Doesn't matter though. You're wishing for a thing that does not actually exist, but even if it did exist here, it doesn't for you. The entire concept of sex porn has sold us on, doesn't exist. Not real. It's like cop shows, you know how they show cops running around shooting guns and arresting bad guys, making the tough ethical calls, etc.? In real life their work is 90% paperwork, 5% flagging down people for driving too fast, and 4% just hanging around waiting for something to happen. Medical shows, you think in real life it's 20-somethings having sex in supply closets, tussling with ethical dilemmas, and getting super involved in their patient's personal lives? No, it's people in their 30's because they have undergrad, medical school, and specialist school before they're allowed to touch patients, then an internship where they're under intense supervision. There's already laws and rules for any moral quandary they could get into, and nobody has the time to ask how a patient's day is going, much less trace their symptoms based on a clue dropped in casual conversation. Porn, to get back to the subject, sells us on a transaction based concept of sex and it's not real. Wanting the kind of sex that is in porn is like wanting to be a cop in a cop show or a doctor in a medical show. It. Will. Never. Happen. Because it can't happen. It's a complete fantasy. Have mind-blowing, satisfying, anxiety free and not at all awkward sex with a gorgeous and willing woman? Might as well imagine her as a mermaid, and do it on the back of a dragon mid-flight for all the chances that's going to happen ever, much less any time we want.

I'll tell you what is real. A physical-emotional-spiritual connection with your wife, after you've been married and been working at it for a few years. But that is only possible if you completely ditch the concept of sex that porn sells.

 

When you are living under the last few presidents, besides trying to topple 'dictatorships', sending your otherwise unemployed buddies to pointless wars in a way to 'serve their countries' and your STEM graduate buddies working for companies making weapons to threaten and attack other countries less than yours with, would you?

So you think we watch porn... because Presidents... it's all political? Are we watching porn because we're depressed? Or as a form of political protest? No man. That's making excuses for personal decisions.

We watch P for the same reason as anyone watches P; it makes us feel good. We get sucked into it the same reason anyone does, because we're avoiding real life, using it as a coping mechanism, and we're addiction prone. We'd be on it if Ted Cruise or Marco Rubio, or Hilary Clinton or Bernie Sanders won the election. We'd be on it because who the president is actually has very little real world effect on the average citizen's life.
