Wasn't a good day, but does all this count as a relapse?

I pulled up porn twice today. I watched it for about 10 minutes at a time. The second time I watched it, I think I came a little bit. I didn't intentionally PMO, but I did intentionally look at arousing material. Does this count as a relapse? I didn't have a complete orgasm.

Only you can define when you relapsed. But if you were a cocaine addict, would you consider only snoring a little bit of cocaine a relapse, instead of a full hit.

I think it is a bit of a set-back. But don't feel bad about it. At least you are trying. Learn from it. Figure out how to avoid doing that again

  3. I agree that only you can decide if something is a relapse or not. For myself, personally, sometimes I ask myself "what's going to help me stay on track better: counting this as a relapse or not counting it?" There are pros and cons to both. If I'm going to feel so guilty about "lying" about my relapse that it will cause me further temptation, then maybe it's best to just move on and say "I'll do better next time." But on the other hand, if not counting it is going to make me feel like I can do what I just did whenever I want, because it doesn't really count, then it's probably a good idea to recognize it "officially" as a relapse.

The point of all of this is your recovery and getting back on the right path. Whatever's going to help you do that, do it.

if you decide not to count it as a relapse, at least be honest and put an asterisk on it. Also, don't do that again!

    There are 3 nofap modes:

Standard Mode - No edging, no porn, no masturbating
Hard Mode - No edging, no porn, no masturbating, no orgasming whatsoever
    Easy Mode - No porn

Notice how no porn is in all three modes. I would count it as a relapse if I were you.

Thanks guys. I've decided to count it as a partial relapse. I'll put an asterisk there as suggested. I don't want to not give myself any credit. Do I really deserve to call it a relapse the same way I would if I had fully PMO'd? I don't believe so. I appreciate the feedback.

You can also make a separate counter for P, start that one from zero and don't reset your MO counter.

  9. I was just going to suggest this as well. The feeling of not wanted to count it as a full relapse is the reason I have three different counters for three different things. For a while, up until today, my porn counter was like twice as high as my MO and psubs/edging counter, because porn is less of an issue for me. So it's smart I think to separate them and not lump them all together. It helps you, also, to want to stay clean of at least one thing. Like, for example, if I decide to MO, since my counters are separate, I still have pretty strong motivation to not include porn, because I want to keep that counter intact. And vice versa.

I would only count it as a relapse if you got the feeling you get after you PMO. But also it matters why are you doing nofap are you doing it because you believe you have a P addiction and want to quit or is it because you think PMO has effected you in a negative way mentally and or physiologically if that's the case then i would say no because you did not get the extreme hit of dopamine, serotonin and other endorphin's to your system that to much of can hurt you and dull your senses . Its really what you yourself consider a reset your only trying to better yourself not anyone else here. I hope this helps you.
