Are circumcised men less likely to masturbate?

Are you suggesting that more men should be circumsized? as a way to reduce the amount of over fappers out there? If not then it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference. I mean there isn't a whole someone can do once they have been snipped.

 

My bf is snipped and he was a pmoer. I don't think it matters really.

 

I do not think there is a relation between the frequency of masturbation and circumcision. I have never read any literature or research about it. It is true though that when you are circumcised the tip of your penis develops a callous layer, thus making it less sensitive. Many men who have been circumcised are trying to reverse this effect with little success getting sensitivity back. It is also a fact that women married to circumcised men have a lower incidence of cervical cancer. But I think the masturbation issue is more of a mental issue rather than a physical one. Do not get snipped if you are trying to control the urge for masturbation. It is not going to disappear. Someone said that in America 95% men masturbate and probably 50% of them are circumcised. So the other 45% are not. And according to my teacher he says the other 5% are lying.

 

I have been circumcided and since that, i never masturbated. But that does not mean, that i don´t look at pictures of beatifull women in the internet to get aroused. The sensitivity in my penis didn´t decrease. So i can say: I stoped masturbation, but i didn´t stoped porn and substitutes (pictures of beautifull women, which i prefer, because i actually don´t like porn).
If someone is considering to have a circumcision, he should wear thight and soft underwear in the first days, because otherwise it hurts. But the pain soon goes away and after two weeks you can wear what ever underware you like.

 

If you don't mind me asking how old are you? How old were you when you got circumcised ? Did you masturbate before? How long ago you got snipped ? Why did you decided to get cut? If you answer these questions it might help a lot of men who are considering getting cut. If your circumcision was recent you might not feel any loss of sensitivity right now. It takes a long time to develop a thick layer. At least that is what they say; I am uncut.

 

I have been circumcised since birth and I am a christian, not sure if that part makes a difference. I have been a pmoer or 17 years. I don't believe that if you are circumcised or not that it can effect how much you masturbate. If you get a circumcision now you probably won't want to masturbate for a little bit because it will still be healing but that isn't to say that you won't go back to it. I can promise the circumcision won't be the cure you are looking for. I don't have a sensitivity issue either, although since i had it done at birth that might be why. It is your choice but it is a major one that I would not recommend doing it just to be pmo free. If you think it is your answer I can almost promise you after you get it done you will eventually be right back where you started.

 

I don't think an actual research has been done but there are people from both groups that pmo so it doesn't actually prevent it but maybe it could reduce the frequency,who knows?
but even if you are not christian or religious at all,I suggest you do get circumcised.

 

Most likely no correlation between uncircumcision and greater frequency of masturbation. I have taken care of thousands of men over my 20-year career in medicine, and I have found no correlation whatsoever. HOW men masturbate, yes. HOW FREQUENTLY, no.

 

Thank you for clarifying. I do not think people should get snipped thinking that they will cut down MO. It has nothing to do with it. And they might regret to have been cut . They should think carefully before they have a circumcision performed on them.

First,circumcision doesn't affect sexual drive or how one performs during intercourse.

In uncircumcised men,moisture can get trapped between his penis and the foreskin, which creates an ideal environment for bacteria to grow. This means there’s a higher risk of infection and it’s easier to spread viruses to others such as HIV or infections such as syphilis and herpes.
Being circumcised reduces your female partner’s risk of cervical cancer.
It's a highly debated matter over the years and it won't be settled.I even have seen opposite opinions on one subject about whether it's beneficial or harmful.One side says it reduces sensation the other side says it doesn't.
So to avoid any discussion,my opinion is still one should do it whether they are religious or not.
Although i gotta say this,there are more risks and complication when this surgery is done on adults so there is that.

Well, oh yes: Getting cut as a child is a heavily traumatic event. You might not remember it consciously, but it is the first heavy betrayal of trust between the child and its environment.

You are right about the moisture, bacteria and viruses getting trapped, however a daily shower and getting into the habit of pulling your foreskin and making sure it is clean should keep you from harboring organisms. I have read so many articles about men regretting getting circumcised that I do not know if this is worthy. Besides I have always felt that nature is wiser and if there is a foreskin there it must be for a reason.

When my son was born, i made the conscious decision not to perform circumcision. I have no real reason to do so, hygiene will be taught, and so forth. If he wants to be cut later on in life, that will be his choice.
