Hi, I am planning to go to Germany for higher studies(Power/Electrical Engineering) and need to learn the language.
I'm learning online but having someone to chat with would be very helpful.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I am really impressed of every one who actually learns german! I wonder, I could have enough ambition to give it a go, if it wasnt my mother tongue...
    Nur weiter so Jungs!!

I've been trying to learn german for 4 years, but after 1 or 2 months for a reason or the other I give up. I hope this is the last time.

yes, thats the thing! I met a lot of people who are stick with it for this long time.
I remember some pupils in hungary, where they began very early. By the time we met them for school exchange they already studied for over 10 years! On the other hand we tried to learn some hungarian lections for just 1 year but gave up right after the meeting!
French, Italian, or English is so much easier, unbelievable!

I thought English was the toughest language to learn.

I heard that Hungarian, Polish, Finnish and similar languages are very difficult and they learn almost immediatly german, I even heard someone, I don't remember if he was Polish or Hungarian that learned german in 1 month only by listening everyday conversations.

    I'm not sure about this.
I'm italian so i don't know if it's difficult, but i think that it's pretty difficult for the verbal tenses, in fact a lot of Italians use only a part of them.
On the contrary I don't know anything about French except that the ortography is very difficult

thats very true! Perhaps thats the best way to get easily connected to a language. Especially german is kind of easy to listen to! I tried it with french but its so hopelessly fast!
