Im still a virgin, but im going to parties more and more as of lately. Im on day 53 right now, and a burning question of mine is, if I end up having sex with some girl, will that mess my mind and progress up? I believe whole heartedly that I can deal with the chaser effect, ive been going at this for over a year now and i think now I'm pretty damn good at stopping myself from even coming close to relapsing.

    Hey there Mobius.

There are obviously no hard & fast rules regarding this. You just need to be honest with yourself & go from there. The only thing I would advise is to be careful not to over-estimate your ability to resist a relapse.

If you haven't done the 3-circle exercise before - link in signature - then I strongly advise you to do so. We need safeguards & a clear view of our particular set of risk factors.

    Strength & wisdom!

It also depends on what you are trying to cure, if it's ED Hard Mode helps. If it's DE sex could help get regain your sensitivity. Anyone would like to share their experience regarding Sex and NoFap?

Im pretty much doing hard mode for 180 days from pmo. But even though i know technically hard mode includes no sex i think, if the opportunity arrises where a girl wants to have sex, i cant stand her up. Im really just concerned if it will make me lose progress like, mentally. I have my sensetivity back now and death grip shouldnt be a problem for me anymore

I would say that the goal is to have healthy real sex....so the only thing I can say is that if you do have real sex, be very aware of the Chaser effect: for the next few days after the sexual encounter, most men will crave for more...that causes urges..if you can't have more real sex, then you are at risk to indulge in porn, or start masturbating again....

    A few things...

Having sex with someone for the first time is a moment that will live with you for the rest of your life. My first sexual experience was overwhelmingly negative in that I didn't know the person. If it can be with someone you really care about & who you have a great connection with & trust, that is ideal.

The main thing is that by the sounds of it, you are staying away from porn, which is fantastic. As you know, porn completely warps our view of sex & steals our ability to have fulfilling & intimate physical relationships. Keep going with your diet of no PMO - you are saving yourself a lifetime of hurt, frustration & misunderstanding.

As someone else said, the goal is to have a healthy sexual self-image & fulfilling relationship with a significant other. It sounds like you're approaching this in a mature, open-eyed manner.

    Keep going.

    Strength!

That's a very good point, I think mainstream porn is too fast and rough. Our society (at least the western one) want's everything immediatly, even sex. There's no room for connecting with your significant other, for "making love". I think NoFap can help you connect with your partner and experience a more loving sexual relationship.

NoFap is about what is right for you. None of us can tell you what is allowed or isn't. The best we can do is share our personal experiences and our opinions.

My own personal opinion is that once you are no longer investing energy into P (watching it, fantasizing about it, etc.), MO is fine.

If you find opting for MO start to supercede having healthy interactions with others and being able to function well in society, you should stop and reevaluate what is going on.
