Not sure where to post this, so I'm putting it here:

So - the good news - I can say now without a doubt that I was experiencing PIED. I have been having issues with erections, orgasms, and interest in sex for a number of years now and never was willing to admit to myself it was porn. Good sex would come and go. This time, because of an epic fail I had last time I tried to have sex, I stopped with porn and masturbation completely - it's been about a month and I just had awesome sex with my wife, one of the best times I've had ever. I was horny, had greater sensitivity, a strong hard on, it lasted a normal amount of time, and I had a great orgasm. I also feel I've had more energy, and I'm certainly having a much better relationship with my lovely wife.

I'm absolutely done with porn. In the past when I had good sex with my wife, I'd go right back to porn, knowing things "still worked", but now I see the trap of that, so I. AM. DONE.

But - the bad news - I have no idea if this is related to the fact I hadn't had an orgasm in over a month, an extreme rarity in my entire life, but a lot of frank blood came out when I ejaculated. I urinated after that and no blood, but in the little bit of ejaculate that is still coming out left over from the sex, there's blood in it. So it's either from my prostate or testicles. No pain at all, but a decent amount of blood came out. Disconcerting to say the least, despite my extreme pleasure at this experience, I'm a bit freaked. Anyone who ever had an orgasm after a long hiatus have an issue with blood coming out? I'm sorry that this is kind of gross, but maybe someone else has experienced this? I'm in my mid-40s and will probably go see a urologist to be safe.

  2. Probably? I think you should defiantly see a urologist just to be safe. And good job on getting rid of PIED and realizing the porn trap that many of us fail to overcome.

    Yes.
You NEED to go see the doctor. Something is up. Do something before its too late. In your 40's, you are at that age where we men need to start getting those checks....the time of work hard-play hard (20's and 30's) is over....time to take care of the old engine...

Thanks gents. I am planning to make an appointment. My prostate does feel a bit sore now, and if I were to put money on it, I'd bet on it being prostatitis. I'm worried the doc will have me M to see if there is still blood later this week. I really don't want to get set back that way. BTW I've also had a vasectomy, years ago, so maybe it's related to that as well. I'll report back. I don't want my success story to be messed up by this.

    Good.
I'm not too knowledgeable about male organs deseases, but I'm over 40, so concerned. I have a vasectomy maybe 12 years ago. Never had blood, but only an urologist could answer?
I know its possible to hurt your prostate by trying to keep the ejac in to last longer, but never done that.

I'm glad that you go get checked. If the Urologist asks to you come in a cup for the sake of your health, nobody her will tell you its a relapse....its called a SMART MOVE.

As I hoped, the doc thinks it's just prostatitis (an infected prostate, like a UTI). He did say sex after a long hiatus, that could have also caused it, or rough sex, which I'm happy to say, it was. ;-) And he actually told me NOT to orgasm for a week or two, so I should have no problem remaining on the path.

PIED is REAL and I'm proof of it. Married life can be very difficult at times, but it is most certainly better WITHOUT PORN. Let's just leave it at that.

    Peace.

@Moogie, what kind of dope writes something like that? Seeman? @blazor28 yes it appears to be prostatitis, like a UTI higher up the chain. Doc says I'm fine. Antibiotics for a few weeks and that's it.

Hey, just a week ago, I encountered the same problem and it shocked me a little. It vanished shortly after, but it raised the question if I could have some problem with my prostate which could have been the reason for ED in the first place?
