Hey guys. In the past I had some very impressive abstinence streaks. Though, since I've been away from the nofap forum I've forgotten everything there is to it.

Besides committing to the forum and being active here, what else should I do?

It's not even about being active here.
If you really want to quit PMO bad, behave like you do and be disciplined. Don't let sexual thoughts stay on your mind for even one second. Abstain from anything that can potentially cause sexual arousal. That's it. Doesn't matter the amount of articles you've read or people you've consulted, there are only two reasons which can cause a relapse:
    1. You start to think about something sexual, urges come to your mind, you want to watch porn -> search for porn -> relapse
    2. You accidentally saw a hot image/hot vid/something hot on the internet -> can't control yourself -> search for porn -> relapse
You really do not need to do anything else. Just say FUCK OFF to those shit and that's it. If you choose to let them occupy your mind, relapse is a natural consequence.

Thanks icanrockmylife! I'll keep that in mind. If I get any nasty thoughts in my head, I'll remember what you told me.

Sadly, @icanrockmylife, that is just not true.

I think that for many addicts, sexual triggers are the least of the problem. In my opinion (which is based on my personal experiences and listening to thousands of people on this website), boredom is one of the most common scenarios that precipitate masturbation and/or pornography. Even that, comes under an overarching principle of using PMO to cope with negative emotions. So, boredom is one. Stress, anxiety and depression can also cause one to PMO in the vain hope that a burst of pleasure will help. Often masturbation and/or porn is used as an unhealthy coping strategy, a tranquilliser of sorts.

My first point basically means the person starts to look for porn. Therefore, if he is bored or depressed or whatever, he looks for porn and then it causes a relapse.
