Hey forum, I've recently relapsed from a 93 day streak, and feel tired and weak as ever. Let's make a thread of things that help you get back on your feet after relapse. I'll start with the basics:

    - Sleep
    - Exercise
    - Nutrition

Elaborate on the above 3 if you want.

    I agree with everything above.
Heavy weights, light cardio like walking ( ideally in nature ) and nutrient/fat rich foods definitely help me a lot.

@prci666 Hmmm. I find that I crave a lot of carbohydrate dense foods after a relapse. I wonder why that is :p

[Edit] I ate at a seafood buffet last night, ate a lot of varieties of fatty salmon and feel pretty great today. Maybe you're onto something.

@Henryk Most of the time after a relapse I eat a lot of junk food.

Salmon is very nutrient rich, I should eat more of that. If only it wasn't so expensive.
Try walnuts and flax seeds. Those are fantastic and I believe they work. Walnuts for a easy snack, flax seeds(grinded) for oatmeal or salads maybe .
I've been eating them every day since my last relapse, along with other good food, and I've noticed I recovered much faster from that numbness I feel after jacking off.

Chicken, Eggs, Oats, Broccoli, (lots of)Water, Multivitamins, Ginko Biloba, Fish Oil, Black Coffee (morning) no sugar.

    Push-ups. Push-ups. Push-ups.

I'm skinny as hell and can easily drop and do 100 at any point during the day. 400+ is pushing myself. You can do the same. You need a daily routine. Don't skip a day until unless it hurts.

When you know you can do something, it inspires confidence within you. You don't need to prove it to anybody but yourself. You develop yourself in private, and when surrounded by other people, carry the confident energy within you.

    Big NO for coffee.
When you get addicted to it, it's harder to stop drinking it than stopping PMO, you get energy crashes, you sweat more,..
You can feel so much better without it and be healthier.

All great foods guys. Most things with protein have tyrocine which not only gives you an energy boost, but repairs your brain too. I eat a lot of chicken, eggs, avacado, wholegrains and vegetables myself.

I'd have to disagree with the coffee though. A coffee crash can leave you feeling weak and vulnerable to urges, especially at night. If you insist on drinking coffee then you should add some cinnamon to keep your mood leveled. Ideally I like to drink green tea which has its own benefits, but also add ginger for improved blood circulation and nutrient absorption. Tea all the way :D

Nice list! Hydration is definitely underrated. What do you mean by cognitive exercise?

Anything that makes you think. It could be puzzles, or work, or writing, or math, or reading. Depends on you. Just whatever forces the gears to turn. Think of brain fog as a cold engine; you've got to get it moving slowly, then let the oil heat up and regain its viscosity.

That's great advice. Hopefully this will encourage some people to not be in zombie mode after relapse :p I like your analogy of the engine.

Also good for after relapses: doing just count consecutive days; also track overall success rate. So, if you relapse three times in 100 days, that's not just the three streaks of whatever lengths, but also 97% overall success rate. It

Start Khan Academy - you can learn about a lot of different subjects, and if you're savvy in certain areas, answer questions that others might have. Also, ironically (in light of OP), you can earn "energy points." lol (And it's free)

Dude, everything in moderation, your tolerance depending, of course.

I have the equivalent of a double espresso when I wake up, and then again, no later than 6pm. That's not an addiction.

Caffeine reacts with different people in different ways, you just have to start small and assess, rationally.

I'm the busiest guy I know, but the threadstarter has to figure it out for himself, if it can help provide the energy he needs.

@Nox7 Sure, everything in moderation, but there is seriously no need for coffee. Maybe sometimes if you really need the kick, but other than that, no.
People get addicted very easily to coffee.
You don't want to depend on caffeine to wake up or anything like that.

All that talk about fat burning, diabetes prevention is not worth it.

@AllanTheCowboy Tracking your overall success rate is something I do too. I've downloaded a PMO spreadsheet, which tracks how much I relapse. It's nice to see the numbers decrease every month, which keeps me positive and prevents binging.

@Nox7 Agreed, everyone should find what works for them. Coffee makes me feel terrible, so I stay away from it. I also find that it makes me more susceptible to urges when I crash. If you can tolerate it all then good for you.

Opinions running rampant here. Remove yourself from the situation. Coffee has been consumed for thousands of years by humans from different cultures. People from those old cultures didn't look at porn, either...

If it doesn't work for you, remove it from your life, just like porn.

This isn't an anti caffeine forum, dude. hahaha.

  20. These are the foods I ate:

sardines and tuna (I think they're helping me the most. I try to eat them most of the week)
yugurt (like once or twice a week)
chickpeas (eat them on intervals and at small portions cuz they cause bloating)
    peas (they're like chickpeas)
boiled potatoes (eat like a half cup a day or less)
    boiled sweet potatoes
    dark chocolate
    kiwis (I rarely ate them)
Lemon water (lemon content in water) I started doing this today and maybe I'll do that everyday
