I'm home early - which is bad. I always get triggered when I'm home...please help me out. I need to motivation, some advice...something. I'm reading an assignment right now, but that's not really helping, and I have to finish it. Help!

Go for a walk, man. Walk to Starbucks. Have a mocha. Pay $4.50 to prevent a relapse. Solid value.

Oh and get it to stay, in a proper mug. You know, sit down. Read, or browse facebook or whatever. Sit and chill out at the coffee shop.

Agree with this strategy. I would even say putting down $13 to see a movie is a good investment. Your home can become a deathtrap in these types of situations, get out at all costs!

Honestly, in 20 years, $150 or $500 will even seem like a good investment. I mean, that's not necessary, but what profit a man if he save some money but lose his soul?

Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

Jump in a shower and turn on cold water, it will kill your urges for sure.

Home and Triggers there lies the problem in my opinion. You have to eliminate this relation. Just try to focus on other things. Home is the place where many of us want to be at the end of the day.

If possible try to get out immidiately, if possible go for a brisk walk or jog for sometimes, go to a friends place where you were planning to go but till date haven't gone, read the success section of this problem and try to lure yourself after reading their stories that what lies ahead of you if you combat this situation, try to take a shower if possible cold shower, listen to Eminem - Not Afraid, sometimes fear and negativity works for me think all that bad and negative that happened to you with PMO not to repeat that mistake, go to a place indulge yourself in some food that you like to eat.

Fight with this. Alongwith triggers there is safety lock on a gun, so try to get on to that safety lock and keep it locked. Its hard to get there (safety lock) instead of the trigger but try. Best Of Luck.

I find a good strategy is to Simply call your brain out for what it is trying to do... I will say for example...." this urge is just my brain looking for dopamine"

Okay stop using the word triggered like that. That's what SJWs do. Take a deep breath. It's an urge not the end of the world. Breathe in for 4 seconds and out for 4 seconds.

Do you want to feel better or worse when you wake up tomorrow?

I've occasionally had to go on long drives to avoid the urge. You can get through this.

Get out of the house. I like the cafe idea, although I think caffeine can contribute to relapses. Go do your reading somewhere else.

Other ideas: Call three people you know, just to talk. Do 20 push-ups. Then do 20 more if you need to. Stretch. Pray. Yell in your pillow. Call a priest. Write down exactly what you're feeling. Hang out with your parents. Go to the grocery store. Do your laundry. Any kind of vigorous exercise could help. Read Psalms or Proverbs. Plan a reward for resisting that you get if you're successful. Do whatever it takes!

Thank you everybody! I went over to my friends house and spent the night. This morning, I went come to shower and make breakfast and did almost relapse then but just before I did I said "no" then got back out of the house for the day....I did edge a bit...but before it got the better of me I stopped...however, that is still unacceptable. I do believe, however.....
    We will be free!
