Hey There Community!

    I have just joined this forum, and have been following nofap from reddit till now.
    I desperately want to change my life for the better, and it looks like this community can offer a sense of hope that im missing from my life right now.
    Its incredible to see how not fapping can change peoples lives its really surprising!
    Anyway im 22 and my main reasons to give up porn is cause i want to overcome my social anxiety, and become motivated.
    I am highly skeptical that Nofap will be able to make me overcome social anxiety by itself but im sure it will give something positive.
    I am also really sick and tired of being a lazy asshole lying on my bed most of the day and watching movies so i think this challenge will definetely force me to change in this aspect.
    So lets begin.. day 28 currently but its like im beginning every day

    Welcome to the forum. I've noticed that addiction makes whatever mental weakness we have even worse. Social anxiety has many causes. We can use the powerful chemicals released when we PMO to mediate our anxiety. I still get huge urges after spending a day out with people and my energy reserves get low. Getting rid of this problem may not cure the social anxiety but you will develop greater confidence, self-esteem, and self-respect. Being PMO free will not turn you into an extrovert or make you the life of the party, but you will no longer carry around shame, guilt and embarrassment around with you like an invisible cloud. I hope you find the resources to have a successful recovery.

    What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

    I have several
    Most important of all is my morning ritual
    -I wake up at 08 am
    -I do exercices every morning
    -I have a cold shower evey
    So im actually applying a few most important of all is my morning ritual:
    -Wake up at 08 am
    -do stretching and workout
    -Have a cold shower
    -Breathing/Meditation
    -Affirmations
    I have also read more in this past month
    And doing volunteering

    -on the downside i feel quite down that im not keeping with my other main objective which is to do social experiments (which i have been doing for the past six months) but as it is of now i cant quite workout to have enough courage to do it "approaching girls,flirting,doing any scary thing in public"
    This is also one of the reasons why im doing nofap so i can have more energy to do social experiments
