Funny that Fight club gets mentioned here, since at its core it is a film about Self betterment and finding ones true identity.
In case you did not know before, at the very end there is a frame in which a few sentences literally read things like:

"Stop masturbating to porn, get out and do something with your life, start a fight, actually try to live"

As for the sexuality, building resistance to pornographic material is the first thing one has to do before starting NoFap, or else it will be unnecessary painful and hard, relapsing is easier and you will feel shamed and actually fearful of Imagery and thoughts in your daily life, which is NOT a mentally healthy lifestyle.

I just watched fight club the other day. I don't like the sex scenes but I love the plot of the movie and that scene where they have to pick a fight and lose to random people always makes me laugh.

 

I would advise you to read the book, it's not the same as movie, not better or worse, just little bit different

 

I didn't know there was a book. I'll have to get my hands on it.

 

The film is about using literally self-destructive and outwardly destructive violent behavior to attack negative social arrangements and also ones participation in those negative arrangements. Meant to be provocative, I think, not prescriptive. May be a bit of a stretch but NOFAP deals with negative social arrangements and ones participation in same, but with a healthy approach.
