Knee pain correlated to masturbation?

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by StraightEdge3616, Aug 4, 2017.

  1. Before you laugh at me, hear me out. Has this ever been discussed here before? Knee pain developed at least from exercise/lifting weights?

I lift weights a couple times a week. Years ago, I messed up my left knee doing a lunge. I went and had all types of tests done and everything came back negative with no structural damage. I did PT and for the past few years it's been fine, nothing too bad.

This week for those of you that know I relapsed this week after a 31 day streak. I went on a "P & O" relapse on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (yesterday). 3 days this week, first time I have done that many times in a week in a while. Today, I went and worked out legs and using the normal weight that I always do, felt a sharp pain in my knee doing squats (not a heavy amount of weight). Obviously it's the same knee I hurt years ago but could this be a correlation to at least the excessive masturbation I did this week for the first time in a while?

I thought it was crazy when the thought entered my mind on wondering if it could be masturbation since it has so many other negative side effects. I did a google search and came upon this where many others have discussed the same thing? Again, I think this might come about from excessive masturbation. If this is true...how would sex be different? Or if you had sex the same amount of times (a lot during the week), could knee pain also arise or does your body know the difference between masturbation and regular sex which wouldn't affect it?

    http://www.steadyhealth.com/topics/bad-knee-and-other-side-effects-from-masturbation?page=1

Again, I know I might be crazy but at least I'm not the only one that has brought this up? Apparently, your body loses calcium when you produce semen and it has to account for it which makes your bones weaker. But again, wouldn't too much sex do the same thing?

There is even a supposed doctor on that link who agrees with this...it just seems too weird of a connection with myself after I had the same exact form, etc. This has happened once in the past and now I'm wondering if I went on a binge back then too...

Or maybe I'm crazy and there is no correlation. Just found the coincidence very interesting.

Your post brought me out of lurking. This is my first post. Have absolutely suffered knee pain from chronic masturbation. Holding my legs flexed for hours on end results in knee pain that I feel directly under the kneecaps and hurts the most when I climb stairs or do any squatting movement. I have to make a conscious effort not to flex my legs. It goes away if I am careful for a few days. I developed this problem in my 40s.

  3. Welcome Mr. MX! I am so glad you decided to make your first post in this thread. And it's interesting, I specifically remember each time during the 3 days this week, feeling a little bit of stiffness behind my knee when I would stand up from my chair (Each masturbation this session was roughly 6-7 hours of me sitting in a chair!)

This sounds like a good topic to bring up then! Maybe I'm not so crazy?

    Are you masturbating mid-squat?

    Kidding.

I can't imagine the two being related ... having said that, the male body is a complete system, so who knows?

Pain cannot be dirrectly correlated to masturbation BUT it can be related to anxiety and nervous system.

  6. Maybe it depends on 'how' you do it? i don't believe it's masturbation in itself but more likely to be related to being in a fixed position for hours on end. I used to suffer severe neck ache due to lying down and staring at my smart phone, the fact I was masturbating at the same time is of little significance physically. The motivation was masturbation but the resulting pain was because of the position. It's like in the Army when they get the soldiers to hold their rifle above their heads for sets of 10 -20 - 30 minutes, eventually some are going to cave in because of the strain on the muscles.

    People it is anxiety.

  8. I disagree and don't think it's just anxiety.

Well from doing research every time us guys pmo it's the O part that fucks us up at the end because our semen and the accompanying fluids is filed with minerals such as calcium and phosphorus and other things that our bodies need to maintain healthiness. So every time we O we are just sending all of that information and essential minerals away for no good reason.

Not sure if that has anything to do with your knee problem but I thought it was interesting learning O can eventually lead to osteoporosis! And other problems

Anxiety can explain any unreletad pain. I once thought I have liver pain. After multiple visits to doctors and analysis we've come to conclusion that it was anxiety. After that I had never had any kind of liver pain

You have no idea what you're talking about. It's from overextending your knees for hours on end.

Why are so sure? Maybe I'm wrong but there's no way to diagnose it online.
Saying that masturbation releases calcium and it is the reason of pain is simply absurd.

I didn't say that it had anything to do with releasing calcium. And I'm not diagnosing it online. I'm saying it happens to me personally. And I know what's causing it in the same way that I know what causes my shoulder to hurt if I throw a baseball too hard and too many times.

I know this for a fact, I love to lift heavy and you have to have strict form and good concentration, i definitely don't have good concentration or strict form after a session of pmo, and like one person said if I went a while extended in one position my body wouldn't be right either

No problem. I'm sorry if I came on a little strong.

  17. yep it's correlated, I broke my knees when (ACL & MCL tear a knee ligament injury) I was seventeen I use to practice boxing in the morning and play football(soccer) with friends for fun everyday and PMO war also everyday part of my life, orgasm, masturbation once in week can be healthy according to science, but every day MO can make you devoid of the essential nutrients your body, especially your bones requires. Don't masturbate stay healthy that two injuries in span of three years of my late teen destroyed my life, I couldn't complete my degree frustration and use of PMO as stress stress reliever messed up my life real bad. Today at 26 I am alone, confused about my sexuality still relapsing after irregular periods of Nofap.
COMING to the point knee pain and masturbation are definitely related, it's simple you lose nutrients, body cells, semen formation requires your body to do a hell of a lot, so if you are in any kind of sports, avoid masturbation/excessive masturbation. It can lead to terrible pain & in some cases injuries with life long consequences.

excess of everything is bad sir
    if done in moderation
the answer is NO it might have not caused the knee pain

  19. Thanks for your sharing your story. Ok, so if that's true and all this is true...what about regular sex a lot during the week? Wouldn't that be the same thing because you are still orgasming or how is that different in terms of knee pain?

  20. Buddy regular sex with a person is whole different ball game, masturbation addiction & regular sex is different. Regular sex with a girl/guy you are involved with involves consent, feelings, emotions. Elsewhere addictive fapping to porn is just one thing i.e. being horny to every new clip you see and jack your balls off till they hurt.
Making love/ regular sex is different, be in a monogamous relation with a person care for that person, sympathize a lot of things are involved in a relationship apart from sex. Addiction is just sex, it makes you apathetic, I have been there & it's like hell... I hope you get my point brother, no offense just wanna help as much as I can by sharing my life experience with porn.
