Booked a long overdue hair cut. Going to dye my hair later - slowly going lighter to eventually embrace the grey!
-Went full prep monster and meal planning. Everything is chopped and prepped ready for a week of meals. -Made amazing chilli. This is the best yet. -Had a few beers. Oh well. I need a little pick me up. -Clipped the dogs nails. -Made a schedule for the SO and I. It includes yoga, meditation, dog walks, nature walks, language study, productivity in general. Super proud. -Still stressing over work starting this Friday. At least it's no kids until the 1st so it's just Intruder Training, classroom prep, and planning time. It will be good to see my friends and colleagues. Going to have a friend's night on Friday with good people from work I haven't seen in a while (we get rowdy, teachers can definitely get their fun).
Makeup. I have this "face" I wear because I am a cancer survivor and without it, I think I. Look odd all hairless, Eyelashless and whatnot... I look like a elf from lord of the rings. However, when I wear a face I'm a porn star or a jezabel or whatever. However, it's my face and it's been my face since I was 19. I just haven't had the heart this month to wear it. I don't know which is worse, looking like that, or looking like I'm dead.
That has to be excruciating. I know I can't go to work without makeup. People notice when I don't have it, especially the kids. I can barely leave the house without it because I feel like I'm being made fun of or invisible. Going through what you've gone through though...
Started the day reading a part of the novel I am working on. This quote really made me laugh: "Painting the word 'dog' on the side of a pig don't make the pig a dog." ~ Jeannette Walls It's been soooo long since I've been able to concentrate on a novel and just enjoy it. I love this. Next up - pelvic stretching to reinforce how my chiro doc helped me yesterday.
