I realize now that my porn use was rebellion against God. This rebellion blocked the Chanel of communication between me and God. The consequences are disharmony of mind body spirit and soul. The effects are lack of complete joy, peace, assurance and effectiveness in serving Him. I am coming up on 90 days without pmo. The communication, harmony, peace and joy are returning as well as my ability to be a more effective father, husband, friend, co-worker and most importantly, co-laborer with Christ. The deeper I get into my reboot the better all of these positives become. Brothers be encouraged by this testamony and let this encourage you to quit living the rebellious lie from Satan and surrender completely to Christ. IT IS LIFE CHANGING.

I don't think thinking it's rebellion against God will help you. Sure it's immoral, it starts as a moral problem and becomes a brain problem. Treating something like it's a moral when it's a brain problem is like giving someone who has cancer aspirin and expecting them to get better.

I respectfully disagree when you are in rebellious, it affects your entire being. Mind/brain, soul spirit.

To be completly healed from porn addiction you need to find its root and that is a very hard thing to do and takes a lot of time and courage.

Jesus replied, “Now the time has come for the Son of Man to enter into his glory. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives. Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity.

That is an informative video. I get the brain part. I have read the book your brain on porn. That is how I discovered this support site. But there is a supernatural component. God wants to renew our mind. We need his help as well as the help of our brothers here.

Sin is rebellion. Physical and spiritual realms are intertwined.

@Myfortress You may have a point... Maybe. But like it said in the video only praying, reading the Bible and/or going to church will make you free from porn. If that was the case I would have quit porn years ago. We shouldn't give people the impression that being free from porn is that simple.

@Rio I understand your point. We both agree that the root of all sin is rebellion against God. Sometimes chains have to be loosened before they can be cut off. However, despite what you say about 'praying, reading the Bible, and going to church', these things don't make you give up porn. Instead, they convict you to stop rebelling against God. I believe I was rebelling in this area of my life right until I decided to quit.
