Is masturbation really a sin. I know porn is and lust is...but I have found that masturbation while just focusing on what it is--a healthy bodily function-- I am not left with the guilt and shame. Obviously anything can become an idol, but I am talking about just the simple act of being present in the moment without fantasies or lust.

Good question. I don't think I've ever done M without porn or a fantasy. Matter if fact I think I went at it from that angle before. I tried and ended up not able to do it without porn or fantasy/recall. If you are having a problem with porn I wouldn't do it. It's like asking for trouble.
