Lies from the enemy
Hey all, hope your new year is off to a great start. I'm definitely struggling today. One thing I'm noticing is how Satan's lies often use scripture in effort to cause us to stumble. For example:
"Its okay to masturbate/use porn... Jesus will forgive you!"
"Its okay to PMO you can't lose your salvation!"
"If you MO you will be able to focus on reading your bible. get rid of that distracting urge."
What lies has the enemy told you?

I know they're lies. I used to fall for them. Now I hear them and say "not today, satan!". I think it's good to get this out here. I have a feeling he uses the forgiveness/salvation lie a lot. "all your sins have been forgiven so what's one more?"

Stay strong my friend! I’m struggling too. Just took about a five minute cold shower, the last minute as cold as it could go. BTW it’s 19 degrees Fahrenheit here so you know the water was cold. Feel very relaxed right now!

You're a brave man craig! I'm a baby with those showers. I've tried a few (its in the 30s) here. Do you just jump in or gradually lower the temp?

Satan lies mostly by sending thoughts about pride and arrogance. These two are to worst. I heard that best weapon for fighting sin is to do little self talk. Self talk includes talking about everything bad about sin(and all passions), basically hating. We must use our anger on sins and bad habits not on people
