Hi, I am new to the group and wanted to join to talk and share experiences with people from a similar background. I tried other groups before that were based out of other countries but like a few posts suggest from this group, I didn't engage so well with the methods for tackling PMO issues, just seemed to be a bit of a culture difference. Any advice, experience or anecdotes are greatly appreciated, I look forward to reading and sharing in the future.

Thank you, it's good to connect with a group. So far it has been patchy, I have had various streaks but none of them successful enough to keep me away for good. I stayed away from Nofap for a long time but I know that on my own I 'll keep getting back in to my own habits. I want to try to be honest on here really.

How about you, how is your nofap journey?

Ye I think it’s the key to taking control staying in touch with the community to . Yes honest is the best an no one is going to judge . Well my first reboot was just under 2 weeks but relapsed a few time which led to binging so took a lil break as I had a few other things going on so wasn’t in a

true what you say @tatt2666 , if we cant be honest with ourselves then its a harder battle, but then adding being honest with others about our weaknesses helps, its taken me a lot of ego come down to admit my problems, but now its become easier and feel stronger ironically for being open. keep up the honest work buddy

Good advice, thank you and thanks for your support both even though we're complete strangers. Do you think what helps us is that we've got one thing in common in our issues? In a very strange way, it's a bit comforting to know I'm not the only one

@onthe button , i think its true what you say. I think having any affliction and believing you are in it on your own, makes it very hard to get out, but reading stories of others battling and particularly winning, helps encourage me

Yes massively most of us can’t really talk about this to friends , partners etc because of the stigma that would come with that , Mostly I guess that they would not see it as something serious but this community we all know and experience it , we have all different paths to come here but definitely a common thread we can all relate and give encoraging words

To add to that, i know other guys laugh and joke regarding their porn usage, and in the past i thought and felt it was normal, however my usage over 20 years and time lost to it, is not what they were referring to it - it affected me way way differently, as imagine all of us here
