Hi Everyone - I just joined this site. I've known for some time now that I am a masturbation/porn addict. I'm so glad this site exists because I think it will be a great help in trying to turn things around. I'm 44 - grew up at a time when you considered yourself lucky to find a porn mag in the woods (remember those days). I masturbated from about age 15. I never had a particularly problem - not until the arrival of the internet. I wonder how many feel that their problem is really all do to with the computer/internet and that if it wasn't for that they really wouldn't have a problem? I know some people will call this denial but I do think that it is true in a practical sense.

My particular problem is connected predominantly with chatrooms (I don't need to list them - you will know them all, I'm sure). I'm one of those screen names you see on there, morning noon and night. For me this is as much of a cyber addiction.

Anyway, I'm on here now and I will do my best.

I wonder if it would be good to have a buddy to chat to so we can "check" each other. If anyone is interested in this, let me know. This is only day 1 for me!
