@Solomon435 ’s recent post—and the discussion thread attached to it—has triggered an interesting question for me.
Which is “worse”, viewing/reading pornography, or masturbation? Why do you think/feel so?
I’m not sure there is a “correct” or “revealed” answer, so this doesn’t need to be a debate. I’ll post my own response as a comment in a bit.

I personally feel porn is much, much worse because of what it does to your brain. Porn is basically giving your brain the gratification of sexual stimulation without any healthy release. When you masturbate in combination with porn, it reinforces that idea. However, when practiced alone and in occasional frequency, masturbation does not cause changes in your brain like porn does. Scientists have studied this quite thoroughly.

yeah, I think there's a spectrum to it. But, if you're like me, you'll feel guilty if you're anywhere on that spectrum. And being on the "low" end of it just helps you down that path little by little.

For me, originally I first started masturbating, which ultimately led me to porn. So I would do everything you can to not mess around with either one. It’s like saying “would you rather get hit by a train or a car?” Neither is a good choice.
