Hey there, all. I'm NerdBeagle, I'm 18, and I've struggled for most of my life. I just relapsed last night and today, and I feel like God isn't doing anything for me. I want to change, and I've asked him to help me change, to give me strength, to be my rock in the struggle, but I don't feel like it's helping. I just hate feeling hopeless. I just want to change.

Welcome! PMO addiction can be quite overwhelming, we are always surrounded by temptations. The battle begins in the mind and we must do everything possible to cleanse it. I appreciate your need for change, I suggest you start by seeking the assistance of an AP. It's also best to identify your daily triggers and then eliminate/mitigate them. The mind needs "fresh air" to heal and reboot. My best to you!

@HigherPower72 your comment took my mind to Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to the ways of the world(which is lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,1John2:16) but be transformed with renewing of your mind. That is the experience I am looking for. A renewed mind and transformation. May that be our experience..

Hey Nerd beagle I am 18 as well I have felt the same way many times. But I remember what Jesus did for me on the cross ✝️. We have to pray for his guidance in staying pure.

First, pray and believe he will help you. No doubt whatsoever. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. James 5:16-18

Pray constantly. Every time you have a lustful thought, instead of thinking it any longer, pray for God to take it away from you. Pray until you forget what the thought was about. Second, what is your plan for freedom? Do you have filters, APs, and activities to do instead of porn? Do you study the Bible daily? Consider all of your options.
