Is here anyone recovering from furry porn? Almost all porn I use is furry porn. I do not identify with the community. What I truly hate about furry porn is insane amount of sometimes very extreme fetishes it contains. It is almost impossible to consume it and stay intact. And whatever wierd fantasy you may have, it was probably done in furry porn. On the top of that furry community is in a deep denial about how much porn is crucial to them, especially when they interact with people from outside the fandom, but from the inside it is crystal clear that porn is almost everywhere, almost everyone watches furry porn, lots of people have various fetishes, sexual roleplaying is very common. Publically accessible statistical data on Wikipedia support the claim about sexual nature of furry "fandom".

That was me. this was the reason I wanted this group created.
While nofap has helped me tremendously, I cannot help but feel alienated within the various discussions, as most members assume we all watched live action content on pornhub. I just got into still images and some flash animations toward the end.
Never got into any weird furry stuff, mostly just normal sex and nudes.
But, while I'm not a furry hater any more and I do believe in the freedom of expression, I think it is wrong to deny that furries, or animal symbolism in general is not inherently sexual.

I was also consuming images and occasional animation, I would like to talk if you feel alienated.

I would post-ironically call myself a proud furry hater. This community almost destroyed my life. It is terrible how dishonest they could be about what this group truly is. Even the name "furry fandom" is rather misleading. Also because of the cartoonish style it looks like something child friendly and people often get into it when they are underage and even sometimes use apps intended for adults. I think I could rant about how bad it is for a long time.

I've got a lot to do, but I can spare some time.

I've been off PMO for well over a year now and I feel great. maybe alienated was too strong a word, but I often feel like an outcast in most areas of my life.

I never got into the fandom- just looking at the porn.
Now, I'm kind of sort of learning a little about what goes on, and will end up doing more research on the history of animal sexual symbolism (Long story short, it's for a personal project I'm working on I probably should discuss with someone.)
Also, over the past few months my opinions on pornography in general have mellowed out. I'm definitely more strongly against drugs and alcohol than I am pornography
And... there are some aspects of my life that many here would question as to why I haven't had a relapse since last February.
