Pslam 87:1-7 (ESV)

"On the holy mount stands the city he founded;
the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God. Selah
Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush-- "This one was born there," they say.
And of Zion it shall be said, "This one and that one were born in her"; for the Most High himself will establish her.
The LORD records as he registers the peoples, "This one was born there." Selah
Singers and dancers alike say, "All my springs are in you."

Hey :) I’ve been seeing you around. Thanks for always posting these. Unfortunately for me, willpower isn’t enough but God helping me, we will overcome :) this fight can get me down but I truly believe God will help me. But to keep relapsing super stinks. I’ve lost the idea that it’s sinful, even tho it is. I feel like I’m not meeting my personal goals and that’s really a downer. Congratulations on how far you’ve come! Never forget the enemy.

So lets as a hypothetical question? What if one never was "healed" of lust or using porn? Is God's grace enough or not enough?

God’s grace is enough for His people. But would His people who are called by His Name do such things? They are still human and sinful, it is true. But as the song says, ‘Ye who think of sin but lightly
Nor suppose the evil great
Here may view its nature rightly
Here its guilt may estimate
Mark the sacrifice appointed
See who bears the awful load
'Tis the Word, the Lord's Anointed
Son of Man and Son of God‘

By committing this sin, we put Christ in the cross and the nails in His hands. This is a grievous sin. And I’m preaching to myself now...

So Gods grace is not enough then? Can we then say we have a role to play in our salvation?

God’s grace is enough. But should we continue in sin, that grace might abound? When you’ve backslidden so that you enjoy sin, and God is not with you anymore, that is not a good place to be in. One shouldn’t sit back and be ok with where they are but beseech God to bring them back. Which is difficult when you want to stay in sin.
