PAWS?

Hello Men - I’m “technically” about 10 days MO (masturbation/orgasm) free - I technically fell twice and looked at some inappropriate images 2-3 times briefly but didn’t succumb to MO and think I’m feeling withdrawal (PAWS - post acute withdrawal symptoms)?

Maybe I’m just cranky, tired and worn out. This is probably the longest I’ve gone on maybe 20 years and I’ve had the worst time sleeping the last two nights. Temptation has been at an all time high; I feel an emotional wreck - lots of crying - been praying the Rosary several times daily which has been so helpful.

Any insight is greatly appreciated. God bless and keep fighting the good fight, men!

The rosary is a powerful weapon against impurtiy, it is good that you are reciting it often, it is a promise from Mary that "You shall obtain all you ask me by the recitation of the rosary." and "I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the rosary." It is also promised that "The rosary shall be a powerful armour against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies." Hold on friend! The beginning is always the most difficult! May Gods grace be with you always.

Dude it's withdrawal. Expect it to be worse for the first 3 weeks or so. Educate yourself on porn addiction. Go to NoFap.com (tab upper left). Read Your Brain on Porn. Commit to doing nofap. No peeking or edging. Change your mindset to one that does not see porn or masturbation as options. Develop new habits to replace your old fapping habits. Develop a workout routine, do housework, yardwork, take up a hobby, play a sport, etc. Engage in a serious devotional practice. This is a battle. Peace. Amen.

The bottom line is you really have to put some effort into developing new habits and changing your mindset. @battleready I have prayed the Rosary daily for many years and I shudder to think where I would be without that devotion.
