G'day, just another folk around here using this as a journal (and yes I;ve never posted before so no idea if this is how I'm meant to do it).
Able to go a week or so consistently, then it hits hard, and relapse. I think the main issue I have is that I'm not really committed to leaving this desire. E.g., i still want it, even though i know i shouldn't.

Bro reason is what drives a logical being to achieve its goal. So you need a proper reason to complete nofap if you are addicted (like me) :) Anyway, If you want to leave it but still you end up convincing yourself to watch porn means you are addicted. All you need is a proper reason to quit. keep trying. Best of luck.

Welcome :) It's good that you recognise that the main issue is you are not as committed as you want to be. First, it's honest - they say the first step to finding your way is to admit you are lost. Second, you recognise that the real problem is the heart - you do what you do not want (Romans 7:15-25). I had exactly this problem and through many trials God changed that. I pray the same for you. See Romans 28:27-30 for more on this. For writing a journal I recommend you start a thread in the forums page https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?forums/christian-fapstronauts-forum.49/. Good luck and God Bless you!

One of the many wise and selfless contributors here, Tao Jones, says that this journey begins by understanding how incredible the extent of God's love is for you. I concur, this is a huge and fundamental step for once we appreciate the immense and unconditional love God holds for us, the greater our love for Him becomes. From that loving relationship stems a desire to honor Him and please Him that can even overtake the temptations we feel to sin. Ultimately, we learn to listen for the Lord, truly listen and follow His advice, He will take it from there. it is as simple and complicated as that.
