I've been thinking about the Israelites after leaving Egypt. They keep wanting to return rather than trust God that He'll get them through the wilderness.
I keep wanting to return to the slavery of p and I go back for months at a time but it is just like the Israelites. Why do I hunger for things that do not satisfy and why can't I trust God that He'll get me through this?

For me personally, I find, the more time I spend away from God, the more I want to avoid him. And the more I seek him, the more I want to keep seeking him. So when I prioritize God the highest, the better my priorities get. Is that something you can relate to?
