Hello, I’m thinking about blocking my access to porn and chat apps. A time ago I used Qustodio on both: my laptop and smartphone. Problem was that my laptop was slower than usual and it’s kind of a spyware. Do you have any alternatives that block bad websites?

@Gods_princess I have heard of Covenant Eyes and K-9. I know there are others, but I don't recall their names. You could install one of these and give the password to a friend. And as you probably know, you can also get help from the other women on this forum.

I use Accountable2You. It does not block anything, but it sends a report of everything I do online to my APs, and it sends real-time text message alerts for any questionable content. Very, very helpful to me for bringing the hiddenness of PMO out into the light.

I personally use an add-on on google chrome... So it's not a program which doesn't make my laptop slower

@Gods_princess I do not know my APs IRL, but I do know each of them through this struggle and I know they are my brothers in the fight. I trust them enough. Has this trust been abused? Yes. Did that make me stop my practice of having multiple online APs to help hold me accountable? No. Freedom from PMO is too important. If it has certain costs associated with it, I am more than willing to pay them.
