I sometimes think of going back to using a non-smart flip phone. Disconnecting from the internet is a good time, but it also disconnects you from support forums like here. It may not be practical because you may need a smartphone for work. But you can limit it more. An important question is what we will connect to when we disconnect from the internet? Great opportunity for deeper connection to the Lord!

I quit a 20-year career in IT, took a 60% pay cut, and left all electronics for nearly two years to get free from PMO. Human beings can survive, even in the modern era, without ready access to smartphones and the internet. Freedom from PMO will cost you something -- the sooner you become willing to pay that price, no matter how high it is, the sooner you will be free. Bemoaning the reality of the current day is only helpful if it motivates you to do something about it. Onward to victory!

Yes and no. The grass is always greener on the other side. I think that the internet is a useful tool but you need to know how to use it properly. Social media is useless. I've gotten by just fine by only having my close friends on Snapchat who I can interact with on occasion

when things get tough I also look to blame the Internet, but in doing this I've realized that you are justifying why you've sinned. "I relapse because the internet exists". your thinking should be more internal, and you should see yourself as having more control.
