    I am well. I stopped coming to the forum because I needed time away from computers/screens. My battles had had its up and down currently things are well, thanks be to God.

    Hmmm, interesting positioning. I think I would rather pray for strength to love Jesus (righteousness) than pray for strength to hate Satan (evil). It may be a play on words. I totally get what you’re saying though. I have actually prayed that my desire for lust be taken away.

    I would disagree that to hate what is wicked is somehow in league with Satan. I would point to Proverbs 8:7 which label wickedness as an abomination, or James 4 with calling those who make friends with the world enemies of God. I think psalms point us to love Gods ways and hate the ways of the wicked.

    I would also add that my prayers through Christ are to be filled the Holy Spirit that I walk in the light of the Lord. I don’t pray to hate but again see it as in line with scripture to hate what (never who) is wicked. Though we pray for our lust to be taken away we will not be fully rid of our old Adam until Christ comes again.
