Said lots of affirmations this morning and it helped me get out of my slump.
Said truth out loud this morning when getting ready for work and it helped my overwhelm and depression. Still a ways to go.
Ok so I’m fucked up. I guess we all are. I’m ok. I realized I can stop hating myself but it’s a process.
"I am" is two of the most powerful words you can use. Always Use it For the better. "I am" gives you a self identity.
If you have an accountability partner or a support group. That will help you a lot!
When you're trying to motivate yourself, appreciate the fact that you're even thinking about making a change.
Realizing how fucked up I am is depressing
Be happy and smile :) learned from NoFap people.
That’s not in my wheelhouse at the moment
Hope you are on the upward path! :)
Trying to make small manageable changes
There is a book called “Stick with it” by Sean Young PhD which is really good
What should I do with my life?
Keep one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward. What are you passionate about?
Community maybe? Ironic that I’m lonely.
Change bit by bit, and the better you will feel, the more it will become clear *who* you are, and then *what* you want.
Relapsed today after going 26 days
I feel discouraged though about my life in general
We all feel it at times, that's normal. Focus on what makes you happy. Think about what you would like to do. Who you would like to be. Nofap helps you to get strong enough to do whatever beautiful plans you have in your heart.
Something I was really looking forward to was cancelled - actually I just misunderstood.
In a slump of depression but on day 22 and no urges to relapse. This is usually when it happens cuz of my hormones at this time of the month
Flatline. Stick it through and the sun will rise on the other side.
Thanks Matthew yea I’m feeling much better today remembering happy memories and taking things one at a time
On day 21 and have lost the urge to act out because I have healthier ways to get attention and connect!!
Haven’t felt triggered to act out since starting therapy and dealing with my emotions. More connected to them and its challenging but great!
Wow, yes you have a great resource available to you in therapy. Make the best of it! Emotional disturbances are one of the main causes of relapse, and learning to stay clean is in part learning how to healthily deal with your difficult emotions.
Deep seeded emotion that we feel but don’t understand is what leads us down these destructive paths. Congratulations on starting therapy. It’s a good thing
Had some much needed fun with good people and it helped a lot
I didn’t bother mentioning I don’t think but I messed up again yesterday. I didn’t care though. I did sign up for therapy today.
You're referring to a relapse ? You'll make it , all it takes it time and patience to be fully rebooted .
Got Talkspace for a month. Here goes
Is that an online therapy thing?
Yea just trying it out
Looking into therapy options
I don’t think this is the place for me
Why? You are welcome here! :).
I think with what you are going through, it runs a lot deeper than just PMO. Whatever your choice, it’s what matters to you in terms of healing yourself
Just about every one will have had that thought at something. But is there any place that's going to be a perfect fit? I go to things that I don't think is the place for me if there's some benefit
Not feeling as triggered. Relieved
Really tempted tbh
