I share many of the same consequences shared: PIED, isolation, shame, and intimacy avoidance in my soon-to-be terminated relationship. I am tired of conjuring up images of
porn to perform within my relationship. Blue pills can’t compensate for my long-term neuron rewiring. Additionally, I was naturally attracted to dopamine-inducing chemicals as a prerequisite or excuse to indulge in risky behavior. Afterward, panic and anxiety would permeate my being until, by the grace of God, I received the negative medical test results. And like a degenerate gambler after escaping yet another disaster, I would consume a glass of liquid courage, a prerequisite, to reactivate the cyclic madness.
