    @Clean Plate – Stress and a lack of dialing myself down and asking what I was really wanting and looking for. I should have first sought inner peace (which I didn't) and then find better connection with another human–i.e. a good friend.

    Happy to say I've been doing much better in general, though slipping once on M recently—really just being free of stress-induced distraction-seeking with anon. sex/chatting and porn, over 2 1/2 weeks now. That's a real win the last couple months. Counseling's really helped me recently, talking through this the last 2 sessions. (Also being crazy busy finishing and readying for my PhD defense.)
