Don't know. But I also don't agree with @Sickly Lucid ... this journey is forever, or it's nothing at all. Once an addict, always an addict. It just takes a single hit to get the old habits flowing back. You'll never be able to balance it. That's what being an addict means.

I do have an addictive personality. I'm an all-or-nothing kind of guy. I find it difficult to achieve balance and moderation on a long term basis. I can manage for a few months when all is good with the world, and then it slips. So rebooting for me needs to be a total lifestyle change - so alcohol must go too for 90 days and then I'll reassess my relationship with it. P and M has to go permanently and forever.

I see. If it works, I'm not complaining.
A very sad day today that marks the end of a chapter...I'm doing my best to block it out...tomorrow is a new beginning.

I think that's great that you're looking forward - if you refer to a relapse, I comment that figuratively kicking myself after one has sometimes has the opposite effect, bringing on more frustration and anger. You may have also identified another trigger, making you more agile in sidestepping a tough moment next time. Here's to a great day 1 starting now, and many more to follow for you.

Thanks mlang284. The sadness I'm feeling is from finally ending a very significant relationship. The heartbreak is long and deep. But some how I have to move on.
Finally joining and making that commitment

Welcome to the NoFap community. Here you will find a very supportive group of fellow fapstronauts/femstronauts. The struggle is a shared one, and it is never easy. But, I promise you, it will be worth it. You've made the right decision to come here and take these steps. Porn holds us back from being our ideal selves. By eliminating it from your life, you will inevitably grow as a human being.

Thanks BushidoWarrior. I know I'm in the right place to deal with my PMO addiction...and get the support I need to succeed. I have to confront and defeat the underlying causes of this addiction. I know what these causes are; fundamental, all pervasive relationship issues that have ground me down. PMO is just a symptom and it's so clear to me right now.
