I am a 41 year old man living in Japan.
I broke up with my partner about a year ago and now I do not have a partner.
Pornography only represents the partner as a sexual object.
Just like us, we all have feelings and personal, and this is also true for future sexual partners.
In finding a partner, the kind of attitude portrayed in pornography can only have a negative impact.
In that sense, porn keeps the sexual aspect side of humans out of reality and makes them unsatisfied with sex between human beings in the real world.
The only way to get rid of these ideas completely is to simply stop watching pornography altogether.
However, at least for me, it would be counterproductive to quit masturbating in order to forbid myself from pornography.
So I do not deny masturbation itself as a means of relieving sexual desire. However, I will strictly refrain from pornography.
I think this kind of thinking is a minority in the NoFap community, but even though our ideas and beliefs may differ somewhat, I hope we can respect and encourage each other in our recovery.
