That might be your addiction. The longer you stay away from porn the more motivated you will be to pursue your dreams. That's what I've experienced at least.

I learned to accept that you cant try to change people, rather you just accept them for who they are. You cant change everything you mind wants you to. The only thing you can landscape is your internal garden

You were strong enough to not answer to your urges. I’m battling urges as we speak. I don’t know where the strength is coming from but it’s there. It’s in my reserve I guess. You got strength left in your tank as well

Write down the exact things you need them to know, and say it in as little words as possible. If they would like to know more, they’ll ask questions.

If you want them to be accountability or something, be sure to ask for that. If you want them to know solely because they’re close to you and you hate hiding it, let them know that. It’s good to tell them why you’re told them.

motivation is what moves someone from depression to tenacity/willpower. but they are two different measures.

So, more motivation = more ability to exert willpower and tenacity. Now how to increase motivation?

@drmr i don't practice motivation, so i can't teach, but in the Huberman Lab podcasts episodes on dopamine there are some answers. abstaining from ones addiction is certainly a key.

Renaisance men didnt have internet back in the day, and look at what they uniquely created compared to what a modern media consumer creates which is a copy of what others do

@BranchingOut yeah sure, but even just 30 years ago. i am thinking about what musicians were up to. this overabundance of "content" is not what we should settle for. it's too much.
