There are others - but this is a start.

Whenever i feel shame I put my hand over my heart and feel my heartbeat. It reminds me that even if I/other people don't think I'm worth anything, something out there thought i was worth being given the breath of life. My heart still beats even when i don't think I'm worthy, really my opinion doesn't matter, the fact i was given life will never change.

@Taylor25 Where did the program fail you? Was the literature not good for you, did you not find journals to read, did you not get encouraged to help out others? In any event, welcome back and glad you are here.

Don't ever beat yourself up after relapsing dude, try to reach out when you need help, do you have an accountability partner to check up on you?

A big part of my recovery is learning to be kind to myself. Now, kind does not mean I have low standards for myself. But, rather, I ask myself this important question, "if a good friend had done the same thing, what would I tell them?"
