Relapsing with no porn is hell of a lot better than doing it with porn, so it could be worse, and 44 days is a good streak. I know it seems like that moment is what counts but I'd say go for prevention to make it less likely.

It's almost like saying any tips for those moments when you're about to have a heart attack or stroke, I don't think chances are good when we wait until then. Maybe journal and start seeing the pattern leading up to those times so you can catch it early.

Good vid. I think recovery is very much a part of trial and error which is why I’m starting to think that the streak mentality is counter productive and only works to reinforce feelings of guilt and shame.

I agree, i think initially counting days and the streaks r good as they track progress and u can celebrate small successes, but overtime it can reinforce guilt and shame which can cause you to be very hard on urself unnecessarily. I stopped counting days a while back :)

I have been trying to view relapses in a different way. While they are not ideal, I feel a relapse gives us the opportunity to care for ourselves at our lowest. I think the more we win in that arena the more this self-care will grow in other aspects of our daily life. Recovery is very much a process of rediscovering your inherent worth as a human being.

Thank you for the video. A nice overview of the disturbing reality of the porn industry. You can only imagine how much more disturbed it will be in the future. And, I dont see their being any intervention by public bodies any time soon. We need more research and activism in this area and your video is an amazing step towards that.
