Where are you from? Never thought about it, they really felt good, especially Alaskan Malamutes. But contrary to Akitas they have been living outside. Ofc, climate change will fuck up this.

I can understand that feeling haha, but trust me you should see condition of Siberian husky, Alaskan Malamute, Samoyed in hot weather on youtube. They look miserable and once you see that picture you wont want that breed in those particular weather.
Malamute and husky naturally exist in -8 to 5 degrees (rough estimate) so no amount of air conditioning would help.

But bro, my father had Alaskan Malamutes for 5 years and didn't have any kind of this problem. They always were extremely happy. The same issue with Akitas. Where I live there are maybe 3 days hot in a year.
