I wish I knew! As an addict, I want to feel good all the time. Trying to change that. I try to do all the right things - eat well, get lots of sleep, (try to) reduce stress, yoga, meditation . . . and it's incredibly frustrating on days when I feel run down and broken.
I just ate a few pieces of chocolate and felt energy and optimism again . . . so I'm sure that says something.
I don't know what to say :/
Chocolate can make a person happy..
but I get what you're saying, you don't want to feel dependent on that. Maybe you could have days for when you can have some chocolate and use it as a reward system lol..
I haven't been able to quit porn or caffeine perfectly, but with years of effort, both have been drastically reduced! :)
This is my first attempt at getting chocolate under control . . . so yes, having it as a special treat might be an option and only having 6 squares today might count as step in the right direction! :D
