    This is the saddest thing to see. Every day I check this forum, I always see this is someone's tracker.

    Remember, we're none of us perfect. We're all in the struggle of our lives, taking the same rough journey together.

    We are a band of brothers, and we are the happy few who have realized just how bad pornography and masturbation are.

    So, chins up, lads! Just realizing we have a problem puts us way ahead of the lies society tries to sell us.

    So next time you reset your tracker, don't think so much "I'm gonna make my goal 30 days" or whatever. Instead think "I'm gonna make it through THIS day".

    Today. This day. Tomorrow doesn't exist. There's only today.

    Our struggle isn't a 30-day or 90-day goal. Our struggle is now. Today. Minute to minute. Be strong today. Be strong now!

    Do not worry about tomorrow until tomorrow becomes today.

    Then it's time for you to take it day by day, hour by hour. Ask yourself: why do you wanna quit?
     
  6. You are right. In my own experience, the FIRST STEP is the most important. Therefore, if you relapse often, then I recommend to aim for ONE DAY for a beginning. JUST ONE DAY completely free of any PMO. This is a first goal you can reach, and it will give you strength for more.If you feel stable with this, then aim for 2 days. Then 3 days. And so on.

    Now, definitely is the most important time. Yesterday and tomorrow are not in our control. I try to remember this.

    Make your tracker one day in length; then, if you make it through that day, make a new tracker the next day. . .for just one day. Repeat until your death.

    I did this and failed. Even though i wasted lots of time on journaling, graphs and the like.
    Sure, this is better than just trying not to fap, but rather than focusing on what not to do i'd recommend focusing on what you DO want. Be clear about it and work towards it without letting anything slide. If you do it right there is not much time left to worry about faping.
    That at least is working better for me.

  12. Yes, exactly. I am doing it this way right now. Always setting little goals, one after the other, so you have a series of successes, and this finally leads to overall success.

    That, too! For example, I don't count anymore. I just live my life, love my wife and kids, do my best at my job, write, play Magic the Gathering, roleplay, practice guitar, enjoy beer, and find new and interesting music to explore.

    See? My life is too full for porn and masturbation. :)

    Another way to keep resetting your counter to zero is to tell your wife about your addiction. You owe it to her; hell, you owe it to yourself!

    Are you at 0 hours again? What happened? Did you get up, leave the house, and take a walk when the urge to watch filthy pornography and masturbate overwhelmed you?
