    I will admit I am nervous. I started off the week on an amazing note,I slipped today. I realised soon after that prior to today's slip - I had become SUPER sensitive to sexually suggestive words and posts on social media. I wasn't aware then,that it's part of the recovery journey! Aah. I want to do this right. I want to complete this challenge. I've also decided to go on a social media fast. So I'll only be on the net to post my progress here.

    With prayer and God's Word plus the startegies from this forum, I can do this. I healed from excessive smoking (cigarettes) and I will heal from PMO too ❤️☺️

    Yes, mine looks a lot like that, except I've added two things:
    1) Not only what prompted it on the surface, so for example a picture I saw or a memory, but also what was the underlying cause was, for example that I was nervous about my work and therefore more perceptible to perceive things as appealing in terms of escape.
    2) A rating system for how well I dealt with the urge.

    Now I'm nearing my first day working in this way and I can tell I had two moments where I have to give myself a 5 and a 4, so not good. Both were 15 minute peeks with some touching. But there were also 4 cases where I earned a 9 and a 10: either not doing anything or clicking on something but then immediately turning away from it.

    I've decided to reset my counter whenever I have any situation that rates below 9, so that's what I'm gonna have to do now. But I'm also positive that this system will provide me with the opportunity to see growth from day to day. Taking it one day at a time and improving a little every day.

    I relapsed today right after completing day 1. Unlike everytime I didn't do a binge I hope I don't do it. One day I will fix this.
     
  6. Hey @Merry Terry welcome back! I think one of the most important things is that we are all constantly discovering what works best for every one of us and I am glad you are constantly improving and making decisions. I am pretty sure you will succeed!

    Today is day 8.It’s almost 7pm where I live so let me brief you in on what happened today. I woke up feeling amazing , did some yoga and meditated. For the first time I helped my parents around the house, I did the dished , cleaned the driveway and it felt great. As bar as benefits go my energy levels are so high, metal clarity is great and I also have mild acne which is beginning to clear up(which is a first ). I’m realizing that as guys our body greats sperm which has the power to create life and If you choose not to jack off or PMO that sperm becomes this life force energy to do superhuman things. As far as things i’ve doing are the same old : meditation, yoga ,working out , reading and just choosing not to jack off when I get urges. So for any of you starting out good luck(the first few days are difficult and the guys who have been doing this for some time as always y’all are the GOATS.bye and my quote for today is from 2pac-“Resist the temptation”.

  13. 32/90. It's amazing when you stop watching porn, how you start seeing how sexualized our society is. I mean it's everywhere on tv, in the movies, and especially in advertising. We, as men, have to build a strong defense against these attempts at manipulating us.

    I'm learning how to deal with these unavoidable encounters, e.g. when you're innocently scanning the headlines on my phone and there's a "news article" about "this summer's hottest bikini styles", etc. Just have to say "Ok, I saw that, and yes, there's some beautiful women there, but I can just let those images float on past and re-focus on other more productive things."

    It sucks since I'm sure hardly anyone would understand how this is for us, but at least here we can probably all relate to it. Anyway, just do your best to navigate through the world we live in, friends.

    No AO Day 3. Felt triggered at the store when I saw attractive women. I still need to put a porn blocker on my computer. Tried Peepeye but it was too restrictive for the family. Any suggestions or forums discussing content filters or porn blockers would be deeply appreciated.
