You have to find a way to healthily reinsert it into your life, if you quit cold turkey your mind will fall straight back into the addiction if you so much as touch it again.

Masturbating isn't bad we just have to teach ourselves moderation, this can be done by weening off of it and learning to recognise the difference between masturbating because you're addicted and masturbating in a healthy non-excessive way. (E.g. learning not to give into the chaser effect)

 

Most people I’ve found cannot moderate their PMO and eventually a little becomes more frequent until it’s a problem again.
