Hey everyone, I hope everyone is progressing on their journey.

I used these forums around 12/18 months ago and found the community incredibly supportive.

This, like any addiction, requires outside support. Without the outside perspective, accountability, and encouragement of others, it's difficult to heal a broken mind. The very mind that brought us here is stubborn, and resistant to change. An external, unbiased insight is invaluable.

No man is an island to themselves.

Two weeks ago, I reached the 6 week mark, PMO, and felt I had began to conquer this affliction. For the passed 2 weeks I've relapsed heavily. It's brought me to my knees.

I hope to gain the strength I feel I'm currently lacking in myself from this site and community, and hopefully help others along my journey.

Hey Rick, I agree that the nofap forums can be provide a very helpful community, but I don't think they are good enough on their own. The main problem I think is that because it is virtual, the relationships are superficial and easy to bow out of. So you can relapse without any really negative consequences from this online community. You can choose not to post and no one will even know.

So I suggest getting a community of real live people involved in your recovery. I think this is most easily available through Sexaholics Anonymous.

    Thanks for your reply.

I think your right. I have attended SA meetings in the past.

We really do have to throw everything we've got at this problem, or else, we're doomed to failure and just making things more difficult.

There's little doubt in my mind that's the reason I feel I've made little to no progress over the past 12/18 months.
