A Porn-Free Room

My bedroom is the one place I always relapse. It's always in my bedroom because I have a computer and I'm always alone.

So, I've got a solution! Firstly, my phone is already porn free by using the restrictions settings (of which I don't know the password to), and I only use my laptop when I'm in the living room with my family, which is where I keep it.

My solution was to make my computer in my bedroom completely porn free using the 'StayFocusd' Chrome extension. I now only have access to about 4 innocent sites (one of then being NoFap), so now instead of going to my room to relapse, I can go to my room to avoid porn. I can use my computer knowing that it's virtually impossible to find porn, meaning that there's no chance of my relapsing to it.

The restrictions are in place until January 1st 2018, meaning that now hopefully I can have a porn-free 2017.

If however, I look at porn on my laptop when I'm home alone, I will do the exact same thing ot the laptop as I did to the computer, and make it completely porn free.

I really recommend doing this to anybody that often watches porn alone in their bedroom. Download the 'StayFocusd' Chrome extension and use the 'Nuclear Mode', and decide which websites you want to allow. You'll work out how to use StayFocusd as you go along, it's fairly straight forward.

I would suggest you using K9. Very effective and has stopped me many times. Even allows safe search.

I think I tried K9 once. I might check it out, but I seem to remember it not working for some reason.

Still, I think I'll give it a shot on my laptop ;)

Problem with extensions is you can always uninstall them.
If that works for you, that's great!
For me it's always the mental battle, once the brain convince me it is great to watch and I need to do it right now, the battle is over. I will eventually find a way to watch it.

I will try it anyway because it might help in some other way. :)

I always find that for me personally, I'm able to stop so long as a fairly strong barrier stands in the way. Having to go into my extensions and physically uninstall it is an action that makes me stop and think 'do I really need to do this?'.

Fair enough, different things work for different people, and I personally feel that this could work well :)
