    I would assume so.

Alright, then. There is an uncertainty in the description of mental illness that is subjective enough not to be worth further discussion. I can dig that.

Heterosexuals have made progress in every area of innovation one can name, including toward universal suffrage. Does that merit them a celebratory parade of pride? Straight, white males are made fun of and berated. Can they have a parade?

I think you speak too quickly in calling it daft. I think most every sub-category group has positive elements that can be celebrated, and that opting to designate a single minority group for exclusive parade rights is more daft than anything I have proposed.

A straight parade would be more fun to go to.

And regular gay pride isn't? Just a load of gay shit.

So it is a question of oppression? Then, even if you don't see the point to it, you wouldn't object to a straight pride parade? Because you are oppressing me from feeling proud to be straight; so that would fit your arbitrary criteria of celebration, yes?

  6. As a straight, white male I can say without a doubt that I have never been made fun of for being a straight, white male. I can also say I have seen gay people mocked, threatened and treated like trash my entire life.

Aslong as they go have their parade when I'm not in town I don't care. But they're always bringing kids to that shit which is pretty fucked up.

Then you should have no problem with people who don't give a "bloody damn" about "gay pride" because it's just another pathetic attempt at entitlement (and victimhood status), correct?

If a community selects certain traits as normal against other traits, what is wrong with that? The question I proposed was with respect to you calling straight pride daft; I think you can make such a claim only by operating with an arbitrary standard for pride and entitlement.

Your personal experience is not the issue. If these arguments depended upon personal accounts, then there would be an argument that could completely debunk your perspective, if you were to have an individual who had never witnessed physical or emotional abuse of gay people.

As for discrimination: As long as media outlets, journalists and public academics propose discriminatory practices against males, white males, and straight, white males, there is a conversation to be had about such practices, and how a double standard can exist in the modern era that portrays the majority demographic as universal oppressors, and all minority demographics as oppressed.

  11. Congratulations Tumblr banned pornography and any nudity whatsoever but it also mistakenly bans images and art works that have no nudity at all. Also It just hides (which means its not literally deleted) the pornography and anything that may be adult content.

People have #nsfw tags and all sorts of #perverse tags but they're quite literally unsearchable however what is searchable and found in large varieties are the nazis and racists - whose tags are not unsearchable and whose content is not banned.... :emoji_rolling_eyes:
Also the pedophiles are not gone, not that most (that i presume ) posted insensitive (pedophilic) images or pedophilic literotica

I feel indifferent towards it. I do not think pornography in any way is acceptable but I do not think banning it is the solution. Pornography will always exist, the thing is being will-powered enough to not consume it.

My reaction is sad and glad! But really glad.

"Sad," because I am an addict, and for a long time, Tumblr was my go-to place for porn. I loved the site, I loved the adventure of searching for a site that catered even better to my particular interests and fantasies. If I really worked at it, I would eventually find users who somehow knew EXACTLY what I wanted. It was a consuming hobby...

Then of course, because it was so all-consuming, I would get worn out -- physically. I got where I would spend hours, fap, and keep going, and get sore down below. It wasn't fun, it was slavery. So easy to keep going, and going. I'd be up late, even up all night. I was looking at Tumblr at work (insane, right?), on my phone on a train, and even on my iPad while I was driving! So easy to do with that site.

I was, of course, saving images and files to my own Tumblr blog, which I didn't really care about; but before long, I had followers! So not only was I a consumer, I became a peddler. I felt especially ashamed about that.

So I'd get so disgusted with myself, and I'd delete the whole damn thing. Only to create a new account a few days later. I can't tell you how many times I went through that.

In recent months, I installed software that blocks sites at the router, and I specified Tumblr. And I have Covenant eyes, and that helps, too. Finally I've gotten away from Tumblr for awhile.

So if Tumblr is now out of the porn business, I'm glad! Thank God! I can think of a few other sites I wish would do the same.

  14. I wish Pornhub was put out of business, but sadly it won't happen.

  15. Man, your experience with Tumblr matches mine almost perfectly. I’m so glad Tumblr is banning porn because I’ve wasted so much time on there feeding my addiction. I’d also create porn blogs and connect with others who shared my exact fantasies. Of course just like you I would eventually get disgusted and delete my blog only to come back again and again and again.

In short, Tumblr banning porn might be one of the best things to ever happen to us addicts.

It's not that it's anecdotal, it's that you hold a double standard. You can justify it however you like, but you're still saying one celebration of sexuality is superior to another by such-and-such subjective metric. I'm not necessarily saying you are erroneous, but that you should afford the same sympathy to heterosexuals who feel marginalized, if you are going to award sympathy in that manner, in the first place.

Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I have a friend who is biologically female but she identifies as a male. It was super confusing to me when I first met her but after I got to know her it made a lot of sense to me. Of course I was curious about her sexual preferences and she told me that she is pansexual. But she also has some stipulations with that. If she is with a biological male she will not let him penetrate her. She does not like that. She will wear a strap on and have sex that way. I don't know if she will ever have reassignment surgery because it's a much more complicated surgery going from female to male than it is the other way around, but I do know she greatly struggles with depression because of her biological gender not matching what she identifies as.

Me personally, I don't think it's any of our business to try to tell people how they should feel about their own bodies.
